"Hidden Gem" in Aurora Co In the ghetto on Worchester The Airbnb we reserved was nothing like the description, we were afraid for our personal safety, the place smelled like lysol and soiled diapers. The neighborhood was filthy, trash in yards, and abandoned cars in yards. This is truly a dangerous place. We had to cancel and lost our money, and Airbnb said the outside area does not affect the rental. They sided with the host We are done with Airbnb Thank you Fred

airbnb used to be a good deal but now its a nightmare! The pricing went through the roof during COVID. Most hosts have so many conditons, they are becoming more like prisons than a getaway for R&R. Then you have all the fees they tack on for cleaning, tax, and potential violations it's just no longer worth the hassle. Take Villa La Serena in Temecula for example, hosted by Neeru. Here is the list of rules one has to agree to prior to acceptance: Villa La Serena - House Rules & Policies No Pets, No Smoking, No Drugs No children under 12 (for safety reasons, as the pool and surrounding property are not fenced) Driver's License Requirement: The person booking the reservation must provide a copy of their driver's license to be kept on file. Spa Usage & Deposit: If you'd like to heat the spa, a $500 deposit is required. This will be billed separately after booking and charged the week before your check-in. A portion of the deposit may be refunded based on usage. Registered Guests Only: All guests must be registered prior to check-in. We require the names and phone numbers of each guest staying at the property. No outside visitors are allowed without prior approval. Security & Monitoring For security purposes, we have five outdoor security cameras located in the driveway, front door, side yard, pool area, and backyard. These cameras are only checked in cases of violations, neighbor complaints, or suspicious activity. There are no cameras inside the house or on the patio. Occupancy & Extra Guest Policy The maximum occupancy is 10 people. If we find that there are more guests than registered, you will be charged double the extra guest fee of $100 per person per night for your entire stay. Noise & Curfew Policy We have a strict noise policy to ensure a peaceful stay for all guests and our neighbors: No outdoor music after 9:30 PM No spa usage after 9:45 PM All guests must be inside the house by 10:00 PM Although the home sits on 4.5 acres, sound travels significantly, and we ask for your consideration of our neighbors in this residential area. If these rules are violated, fines will be deducted from the deposit held by Airbnb: $250 for the first violation $500 for the second violation Villa La Serena is designed for relaxation, breathtaking views, and enjoying the wineries in the area. If you're looking for a party venue, this is not the right property. Our strict curfew aligns with Riverside County noise regulations in Temecula. No Parties Allowed Only registered guests are permitted on the property. Parties and unapproved visitors are strictly prohibited. I engaged Neeru on his demand to be inside the house by 10P and he said it was a city ordinance. I pointed out that the regulation is for noise only and not a citywide curfew. I will not rent from ANYONE that treats its customer base like juveniles or criminals. Furthermore, I am getting requests from these owners to send a picture of my driver's license. Only accept to send yours in if they give you theirs. Once you provide the image, they can and will do with it what they please. Note that Temecula charges $50 for first time noise violations. Neeru will charge you 5X because he is looking to scam you out of as much $ as possible. You shouldn't trust airbnb and certainly not owners like this.

Dirty vents

I paid to stay in an airbnb unit located at 2439 Gravier Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. Upon arrival I sent pictures of the broken lock to front door, broken furniture and filthy and rusted items in the home. I was refused to cancel my stay, refused a partial refund and when individuals came out to clean, etc. The cleaning was partially done, the drawer and lock were never repaired and the rusty toaster was replaced with one that would not hold a bagel. I asked Airbnb to step in and they only offered a "one time courtesty" $200.00. I then attempted to write a review, and airbnb refused to post it stating they believe it would not be helpful to the community.

Food left so clearly not cleaned

I have been using air bnb for years....over 27 stays and have never had a problem until now. I rented a place and had nothing but problems from the start. I wish we could put in pictures to show the justice. I walked into the home and immediately the first thing I saw was overgrown grass up to my 6 foot tall husband's waist into the stomach with abandoned shopping carts everywhere. They said we would have use of a patio that was a lie. The entire property wreaked like animal urine, and you could see spots on the carpet and on the couch, where there was obvious animal urine. Outside of that there was food left in the sink. There was food left in the microwave. The entire floor was gross. I believe this just touches the surface of everything that I encountered and that my children were forced to sleep in the animal Urine smell because I was told by the host to just use for breeze we didn't get in until 11:30 PM so we had no choice but to sleep there. Another thing we were not told is you could hear every movement going through the house so nobody got any sleep. I contacted Airbnb immediately at 5 AM the next morning. I went on for days with Airbnb, trying to get a refund I was told at one point I would receive a refund I didn't. I was told to leave the property immediately that morning, and I would get a refund which I left the property and still again no refund at the very beginning of our trip I had to come out another $700 just to find last-minute housing for me and my family finally after days of arguing with Airbnb they only refunded me half of what I paid for the week of the Airbnb, which they didn't even want to do that. The only reason they did was because what they claimed was an employee that was not qualified to told me that I would get a refund. I went to the highest person at Airbnb. I am very, very disgusted and overall dissatisfied and will not be using Airbnb again. I will be using VRBO and Expedia rentals. My renter was nothing that was described in the pictures. The smell was unbearable and a health hazard to my children and Airbnb refused to do nothing about it but give me half of a refund only because somebody messed up and told me they would otherwise I was told by air B and B I would not have gotten a refund. Very disappointed and unsatisfied to say the least beware of any Airbnb's that you get because Airbnb will not cover you.

She actually complained to Airbnb for us to leave and that we were in the pool! After refusing to give us a refund and no running water.
