You have to check-in online via their website about a week before your arrival date - the website basically has all the instructions you need to get in so we had no issues at all even though we arrived after hours & the lobby was already closed (not manned). The apartment building requires a security code to enter at all times (if you don't have room keycard) so I felt it was pretty secure, and it's in a fairly convenient location with restaurants, cafes/bakeries, & convenience stores nearby within walking distance. It's also convenient for most public transit options! We had a 2 bed/2 bath apartment unit for 2 adults/2 kids and it was perfect! It came with all the amenities you need & we didn't need to buy/supplement anything for the whole week we were there (minus drinking water, which we always buy whenever/wherever we travel). My only gripe is the European shower "door/panel" (my husband and I have been to a few European countries in the past & to this day I still don't understand why it's just half a panel vs. the full door for a complete seal). During the day, the lobby is manned between 9am-5pm, and they always stock up with candies that our kids (and the adults, of course!) LOVED getting every morning. Our kids loved & enjoyed this place so much that they STILL ask if/when we're ever going back to "our house" in Europe, LOL! P.S. we did not get to enjoy the rooftop terrace/pool as they were closed/unavailable during our stay!

We found them very easy to deal with throughout and they were quite responsive when we had issues. We didn't have any after-hours issues or any on the weekend, so I can't speak to that. Both apartments we stayed in were outstanding. In Madrid, we stayed in the Chamberi Place apt and it was clean, spacious for an apartment, great light, 3 sets of French doors, comfortable beds, spacious kitchen. It's in Chamberi which is a pretty non-touristy section but is easily walkable to great neighborhoods like Malasena, a very enjoyable but longer (20-45 minutes) walk to Chueca, Plaza del Sol, Las Letras or the area near the Prado and and Retiro park. A Metro stop (Moncloa) was very close and made many cool parts of town easy to get to. In Barcelona, we stayed at Music IV apartment which was in the Old City in the La Ribara part which is a bit less touristy than El Born or El Gotic. We loved this place! Right on a narrow street, with 2 small balconies. There was a good amount of street noise in the front rooms but in a city kind of way, not at all bothersome to us. The bedrooms were very quiet because their windows do not face the street. Literally 2 blocks from the Palau de la Musica Cataluna. Many small 'maker' shops around, a few blocks from the excellent Santa Caterina Market (which has an excellent tapas bar in it), walkable to the Picasso Museum. A little longer walk (30-40 minutes) to Gaudi's La Perdera and Casa Batlio (Batlio's facade is being renovated right now, though). It's right near 2 excellent tapas places - Casa Lolea is great (need a reservation for dinner - even late) and Bar San Pere is across the street - a small place that had really original tapas dishes and very friendly waitstaff. A lot of the other tapas places we saw in Barcelona seemed kind of gritty or just geared towards tourists. Anyway, not sure we could recommend these apartments enough.

It was such a welcome finale after a month of backpacking through Spain and staying in some tiny hotel rooms. This room had a dinner table, a pull-out couch, and a washer/dryer. In addition to appliances, the kitchenette had every tool we needed, from the best manual citrus juicer I've ever seen, to tongs and a collander. All of this accommodation is rendered useless by the pitiful customer service. Their front desk consisted of one person at any time of day or night. Requests for toiletries took a minimum of 45 minutes to fulfill, sometimes up to 2 hours. In the middle of our 5-day stay, we were informed that there would be a mandatory cleaning/inspection by housekeeping staff. Fine. We postponed our busy day of sightseeing to wait for housekeeping at its expected time so that we could be present. We ended up waiting for 3 hours. Near the end of the third hour, we called the front desk to question the housekeeper's whereabouts. The same man who had told us earlier that it was "hotel policy" to have the housekeeper come into our room pivoted to "it's only because she wanted to clean before your stay was over" as his lip service. When the housekeeper finally did arrive, she threw away all of our store bought toiletries that were on the bathroom counter, including toothpaste and contact lens solution. Upon checkout we reported this to the front desk man, an older fellow. He was indifferent and dismissive. Do not stay here.

What an amazing place to stay for an amazing price in an amazing area of the city! It really couldn't have been better, we were so happy with our stay here, and the Inside Barcelona office/help desk people were so friendly and accommodating! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this apartment and it really made our trip memorable! Our apartment was on the 4th floor of the Carrer Comercial 15 building, and basically had everything we could ask for and more! Upon walking in, there was a bathroom with sink and shower, next to a large bedroom with two beds. The staircase leads you upstairs from here, where the living area, kitchen, and second bedroom are located. The living area was complete with comfy chairs and a couch, and a flat screen TV and coffee table. There was also a dining table with chairs, and a full service kitchen complete with fridge, stove, sink, and stocked with dining utensils and cookware. The second bedroom is upstairs also, with a bed, desk, and private balcony. The living room also has a big beautiful balcony you can walk out on and we had a great view from the 4th floor! Some great sunsets here! The layout of the apartment was really perfect, and we absolutely enjoyed our time here! All amenities also are provided, such as towels, sheets, kitchenwares, even a large bottle of water in the fridge! I believe if you stay a certain number of days they also have a maid service that will come in and clean. Basically everything a hotel provides you with and more! Another huge plus is how helpful the staff at Inside Barcelona are. They give you detailed instructions on how to get here when you arrive (I took the train from the airport), even which trains to hop on/off of, which was super helpful. I got there without a hitch and met them in their office, then they escorted me to the apartment, showed me around, and went over all the details. They also give you handouts about events going on in the area, where the closest conveniences are such as grocery stores, ATMs, etc, and they can get tickets for you to all the major Barcelona attractions and day trips. WOW they were so helpful, it was wonderful! We ended up booking tickets to an FC Barcelona game through them and it worked out perfectly! They really did think of everything you could need and were very accommodating and super friendly! The icing on the cake is that this apartment building is right in the middle of the best area, we really loved exploring El Born and found so many wonderful restaurants and cool sights and things to do in this district, we were really happy to stay here! Its close to the Estacio Franca (train station), Picasso Museum, a big park, tons of restaurants and a lively bar scene, and a short walk to the metro. Also close is the Bascilica de Santa Maria del Mar, a huge beautiful gothic church that isn't to be missed! There is a ton to do in this area, just a short walk away. That being said, our apartment was quiet as a mouse, we didn't have any trouble sleeping at all and didn't hear any loud noises at night at all, which was wonderful. Our stay here was superb and I recommend anyone travelling to Barcelona to stay here! Its amazing value for your money, we had a wonderful time and really enjoyed ourselves. The place was perfect, the location was perfect, and the staff of Inside Barcelona really were perfect, we had the best time and staying here really made the experience memorable!

I had no worries about how to get here when arriving at the airport because they seem to have it all covered and down pat, complete with PDF of the check-in procedure and then plenty of maps and recommendations for the Born area once we walked in the door to the apartment. In some ways it's like the personal feel of staying at an apartment through AirBnB but fully streamlined and kink-free!

Apparently being marooned at the airport without access to the apartment I paid $2,000 for the week, wasn't urgent to her. My luggage was lost by the airline. They needed delivery instructions. Of course, they couldn't tell me the apartment number and floor when I could have walked over to lost baggage. I had to get to the apartment to find out my apartment number. This ordeal took 5 hours. The apartment greeted us with a "welcome gift". This was 2 dishwasher pods, detergent for one load of wash, trash bags. You have to take your trash out to the municipal garbage. The room is as one would expect of a business hotel. No view, no character, no design flair. Except! No professional staff. By far the worst AirBnB experience.
