They have a lot of mint condition brand names to choose from, and quite a variety (har,har) of styles and brands represented. It feels filled with wonder and history like a museum but cozy and inviting like someone's home. (There is even an adorable dog sleeping peacefully in shop). You will find women's clothing for all occasions and seasons and a wide array of accessories and underpinnings. There's even a men's section, which looked impressive too. Amazing selection aside, the owner is so knowledgeable and kind. She knows the origins of every piece in her shop. I stumbled upon the store by accident and ended up spending hours trying on wedding dresses and evening gowns, learning a lot about vintage clothing history in the process. There is an impressive amount of dead stock items too. I can't wait to return here, it was a really special place.

You go through a tiny storefront that smells like Grannie's attic and amble back through a narrow room full of granny's old furniture before creaking down a staircase into an underground lair full of other peoples' old junk. However, there can be finds to be found and I dig the weird vibe. Not big on kid's things (kind of thankful for that), but a lot of vintage-y stuff for the creative at heart. I am not even a little creative, so I probably won't be frequenting the joint. Mom tip: Not stroller friendly, kid friendly, or even kid interesting. If you do want to pop in (and I strongly suggest you do - it's a weird little place), I'd hit it solo or with a kid attached to your person. I will add that the space is so big and there is so much stuff that even though I didn't find anything either time I went, I spent about an hour there. Happy Hunting!

There's a lot of junk (again...I really hate when people try to sell their old junky H&M crap and promotional t-shirts and such when they really ought to just be donated to people who can use them) but also a lot of great stuff to be found. Shoes, dishware, jeans (my favorite!), handbags, etc...there really is something for everyone. The underground, mouse-maze aesthetic of the space makes shopping here even more fun. I think their booth rental prices start at around 50e/week. On my almost-daily walks through Kaivopuisto, I almost-daily stop in to see what's new. Best Kirppis in Helsinki so far for my taste and wallet.

I did score - - a bunch of kids books -- I hope my suitcase isn't over weight - funky retro tourist apron from Mallorca The staff was nice. I truly left my cell phone at the checkouts. The top floor when you enter is the "boutique" items and the lower floor has so much stuff it would almost be impossible not find anything in the women's dept. The men's dept is smaller, but it's there and I posted some pictures. My greatest find was Guess jeans that I almost paid over $100 usd at the Guess store, except they didn't have my size, and I got them here in new condition for less than $20 usd. If you are on a cruise and looking for stops in Helsinki, find this on the map. When we went there was a parade for the Ex-President which pretty much closed down the town. All of the antique/collectible shops were CLOSED. Uff is a chain store and I believe there are more than one locations. Good chance they will be open while you are there. Definitely check them out. There net proceeds go to a good cause. Friendly people work there. Don't miss it

A great thrift store in the center of Helsinki, and an easy walk from the train station…read more They had a good selection of stuff, knick knacks and clothing alike - even a few pieces of furniture in the back. It was pretty cheap for Finland. Still a lot more expensive than in the states, or in some other european countries, but it's Helsinki! Everything's expensive. Still, I found a nice vintage bathing suit for 12 euros, and a summer skirt for 7. That's about 1/10th of what things cost in the department stores, so I'd call it a wonderful bargain, and a fun place to poke around in the afternoon.
