Such hospitality and amazing food. Worth the price in experience and flavor. If you know and love Italian food, you will not be disappointed. I will certainly return, when I return to Köln. Only about 15-20 spaces in the entire restaurant. Not good for children. Good for a romantic dinner.

Listen up...This place has a hidden gem. The tiramisu at PastaBar was better than anything I had in Rome. The updated version still had the thicker cream but this time there was a bit more liquor (ok with me) and came with fresh fruit (outstanding). I've heard they also have a great chocolate cake (which was sold out). I will go back to PastaBar for tiramisu each time I'm in Koeln, and plan to try the chocolate cake as well. FYI - I deduct one star b/c the pasta was ok. Even though this place apparently makes pasta for Moroccan royalty, I preferred the more al dente pasta found in Rome.

I stopped in for a "no-reservation" lunch at this hotel-restaurant, and was seated on the large, beautiful outdoor patio directly overlooking the Rhein. There were only 12 items on the limited lunch menu. But I think the chef does not understand "portion control." At least, the Tiramisu was normal sized. But, the other plates I ordered had too large a zander filet, too many (8cm x 4cm) tortellini, too much black truffle. I can't believe I just said that. But all the food was very good, as were the servers. The only problem was all of the yellow hornets flying around. But I would still return. 2023 09 03. M0.
