Not horrible but I won't be going back. Wasn't worth the $70 lunch when my favorite sushi place costs the same for better quality and flavor. The fish wasn't fishy, and I could've ordered wrong with my toppings and sauces. The chicken teriyaki also wasn't good and that was my fallback if I didn't like my poke bowl, the chicken tasted like a lower quality cut and the flavor of the sauce didn't mask it enough. They have a good selection of choices for proteins and toppings. Lots of parking. The guy who was assisting me was nice and friendly as he answered some of my questions. This used to be a solid lunch choice but it's really gone downhill since I was last there. My bowl was very small for $14, sloppy looking, edamame and rice were both tough and chewy, crispy onions were inedible and stale. My friends' chicken and salmon bowls respectively were overcooked and served on wilted listless greens and another friend's bowl had the same issues as mine and he reported it flat and flavorless. When we went to pick up the place had a chaotic vibe with a couple of workers looking like they were handling everything and a (manager?) unloading groceries out of his car trunk. I understand that happens but if you can't be more ready for Monday lunch rush than that, you're in trouble. They were friendly and on time and the food wasn't spoiled or anything so I wont go one star but I don't think I'll be going back here again. read more

Judging by the other reviews they've received, I'm hoping my experience was just an off day, but I was really disappointed with the food. I normally enjoy poke, and I'd never tried this place before, so I was hopeful. The fish looked pale and was sitting in a lot of water. The other ingredients were also sitting in quite a bit of juice. Everything needed to be drained, especially before being put in the bowl, but all of the ingredients for my bowl were scooped with a lot of fluid, resulting in almost a soup-like consistency. I actually had to drain it before I could eat it, but I ended up not being able to eat the poke. read more

Visited this new poki place after seeing an ad on Facebook. The place is clean and looks brand new (as it is!) It's funny that they're right next to a sushi place but during the time I ate my lunch, there were 8+ people that came in so they're clearly staying busy. Scallops are seasonal here so they didn't have any during my visit but their topping choices are great. Eggs, corn, and pineapple were new to me but they still had the standard imitation crab, edamame, seaweed salad, and masago. Also, if you dine in, you get a miso soup on the house! Amazing. WOW. This place never misses, it is too good. Always taste how I Imagine it. A bit pricy because I always get 4 items for my bowl. Ahi Tuna, Salmon, Tofu and Spicy Tuna. I love this place! They have so many options for protein. Some that I've never seen before at other poke places. I had spicy salmon and Maui Tuna as my protein. The Maui tuna definitely reminded me of the amazing poke I had in Maui! They have a variety of toppings you can add like ginger, edamame, corn, seaweed salad, radish, sesame seeds, wasabi, crab, avocado (extra), and so much more. Shopping nearby, we stopped in for lunch on a weekend. It's in the large outdoor shopping complex in Escondido. It's located next to AT&T. They offer their poki bowl in regular ($9.95) or large size ($11.95). The only difference is you get another scoop of fish. The fish quality was fresh and flavorful. They have some unique options such as kimchi shrimp. I appreciate that they include half an egg as a complimentary topping. Overall, a tasty and healthy lunch option. The only negative I would say is the bowl size is smaller than other places. Their large is really more like a regular size. Yelpers, don't forget to check in to get your free miso soup! read more

Very clean and cold venue like any good poki place should be. Very interesting protein option with the spicy tuna having mango and a special season salmon. Both delicious. Love the fact the let you sample them. The topping looked fresh and they had tons of sauces to pick from. The staff was very friendly and informative. The tall guy I forgot to ask his name was very polite and had great customer service. Would come again and recommend to a friend. Please do not come here. I ordered 2 bowls. One is a large bowl with 3 protein choices. I selected tuna, albacore, and Salmon. All the fish plus their toppings especially the seaweed and massago all tasted funny. The second bowl, I got the eel bowl. The eel tasted bad and again the toppings seaweed and massago tasted funny. I spent $30 and ended up throwing both bowls away because we were afraid we would get sick. Extremely disappointed and will never come back. I can't believe their products were not fresh! Beware, me & my bf got food poisoning. Ate here on Friday 28th and ordered 3 diff tunas, sushi and spam masubis. We were inside and noticed the temperature in restaurant was getting hot so I'm sure that affected the temperature of the fish. Any type of fish that's left out for more than 2 hours in a room temperature setting starts to go bad so hopefully they do something to change that so future customers don't get sick. read more

It was perfect for two people and instead of salad, I would recomment to order all rice with the poki. Other than that everything else was good taste! The food itself was really good. The reason for the low rating is for the customer service. The girl who helped me at first came off as rude and as if she didn't want to help me. It wasn't even busy so I'm not sure why she was being that way. She didn't even acknowledge me when she was giving me my food (she was talking to her coworker). This is our new favorite poke restaurant in Escondido! This definitely hit the spot! I know the next time we come back, I'm getting the regular bowl with tuna luau and blazing salmon again!! I also got half & half of the white rice and the kelp noodles (0 calories!!). The food was so great and the customer service was phenomenal. They're so nice with giving out samples and very generous with the portions, which I loved! We also got two cups of miso soup on the house which was perfect after eating our big meals! The guava juice was really good!! I have no reason not to come to this place, everything was so great! I highly recommend trying it out. It's a new poke place in the area, they have their grand opening soon, it's half off a bowl the whole day and I think the first 50 people get free ones!
