I really wish I could give this salon negative reviews. Not only was the end result COMPLETELY…read moredifferent than what I asked for, Lorenzo himself is completely unprofessional and continuously refused to refund me when I asked multiple times.
I had re-growth in my hair and some "banding" (when the regrowth turns a bit orange- this is common with blondes) and I wanted something that would eliminate the orange, and more natural roots so my hair could continue to grow out and look natural. (see photo 1 for my before picture).
I know that doing all over highlights and THEN adding what's called a "root shadow" to the root is the perfect way to give me the result I wanted (see picture 2). I shared this photo with them and he assured me he could give me that result. It's an easy technique and I feel like they should have been able to give me these results.
Well it turns out, Paloma the stylists- has absolutely no idea what she's doing. She gave me highlights, but also put in these chunky lowlights that were WAY darker than they needed to be, and they completely contrasted with my blonde. They look like zebra stripes and do not blend well at all. I don't know what she was thinking by applying such a dark level of color.
They also didn't even do a shadow root at all! You can see (in the last photo) that there is a clear demarcation line and when my hair grows back out, it will be so contrasted with my natural color. This is EXACTLY why you're suppose to do some kind of natural color at the roots, so there's not this problem. Talking to Lorenzo, I don't even think he knows what this technique is or how to do it. It's a really well-known and easy technique for blondes.
To add to the horrible color, Lorenzo asked if I wanted a small trim. I said yes (totally forgetting that "small trim" usually means a big haircut) and he took off 3 inches of my hair. I did have a little damage, but not 3 inches worth.
When he was done styling my hair, I told him that it wasn't the result that I had wanted and I wanted it darker at the roots to blend it better. He said that he couldn't do that (for whatever reason) and that I would need to come back in order to fix the top of my hair. Overall, he didn't listen to me and just did what HE thought looked good. It wasn't until I left, that I noticed how drastic the highlights and lowlights were with each other. I wrote him immediately and told him how unhappy I was with the entire result.
He told me I can come back so they can fix it, but he admitted he doesn't even apply color himself, so why would I trust them being able to "fix" my hair when they ruined it so bad in the first place? I told him I don't want them to fix it, but I do want a full refund because I am completely unhappy with the results. He refused to give one to me, and that speaks so much about him as not only a business owner, but a person.
To add into all of this, I had to ask 3 different times if I could have a coffee and each time they said "yes we'll get it" but they never got it. They don't care about you, they just want your money and that's it.
If you want a basic cut and bad highlights, go here. But if you want good quality and a professional atmosphere, go somewhere else. I'm so disappointed in Lorenzo and his way of dealing with me and refusing to give me my money back when he couldn't provide a service I wanted
