Ah, Agua - Spanish for "water." How fitting that this restaurant is named after the one thing they absolutely refuse to bring you. I've experienced glacial movement that was faster than our waiter. Seriously, I ordered water and by the time it arrived, I was pretty sure the ice age had ended and started again. Our server had the enthusiasm of a DMV employee on their last day and the urgency of a sloth in therapy. The waitstaff here have perfected the art of selective blindness - they can somehow see you when you walk in (barely), but become completely invisible the moment you need literally anything. It's like dining in the Bermuda Triangle of hospitality. I watched our waiter walk past our table 47 times. I counted. He had the same energy as someone being forced to attend their ex's wedding. At one point, I genuinely wondered if we were part of some elaborate social experiment about human patience thresholds. The attitude was so thick you could cut it with the knife they also forgot to bring us. I've gotten warmer receptions at tax audits. Our waiter looked at us like we'd personally insulted his entire bloodline by having the audacity to... exist in his section. Pro tip: If you're planning to visit Agua, bring your own water. And snacks. And maybe a good book, because you'll have time to finish the entire Game of Thrones series while waiting for basic service. Barcelona has thousands of incredible restaurants. This isn't one of them. **TL;DR: Come for the view, leave for literally any other restaurant.**

HARD DRY NASTY ARTICHOKES

Go for the seating- food is MEH. Service is slow- they're only quick when it's time to pay. Tomato bread was hard, dry, nasty. Artichokes were hard, dry, nasty. Sea bass was hard, dry, boring. Big shrimp were small. Drinks were mediocre. Price was decent. Couple next to me was struggling with their paella.

Everything was executed well but food was just good. You're paying for the view and beach. It's nice though and worth a reservation.

I would say it might be the best restaurant in Barcelona. Highly recommended. I didn't even know the octopus had these many tastes.

Grilled Hake and Vegetarian Rice.

Absolutely fire. For the view and the food itself it's totally worth it. Must go spot in Barcelona. Service was good, Hake took a while but we were warned of that.

Crunchy beef taco

The beef was raw in the taco no warning or anything the food was not good. The ambiance is nice but does not match the quality of the food

Agua is one of the top 10 restaurants with a beach view in Barcelona. We made reservations same day. However, when we got there they didn't have our reservation in the system. The manager at the bar was super nice though. He said he would figure something out, even though they were all booked for the night. The solution he came up with was have us seated outside, with our own personal waiter. Keep in mind that outside seatings are only for drinks, and not food. We weren't complaining because it was a mild night, and they had heat lamps on. So it worked out perfectly because we were able to dine and see/hear the sound of the ocean. So thank you for the great customer service, Agua. I picked this place over other great restaurants because they had a wide variety of choices on their menu - not just seafood. I think they are also vegan friendly.

I really enjoyed everything about this restaurant. It is literally on the beach, so the ocean view is already a winning aspect. And I may be wrong, but I'm almost 99% sure they don't charge you for the view like some of the other restaurants alongside it do. I've been here for breakfast and lunch now and both times my food was on point. Churros and chocolate and a wonderful assortment of fruit for breakfast, and tapas: mussels, for lunch. The service here is very quick and the restaurant is usually not too crowded whenever I have been. I definitely recommend eating here!

All gone, is always a good sign that it was delicious

The octopus was fantastic, the beach was stunning and the wine sublime ;) This place is in a touristy area of Barca, Port Olimpic and I was hesitant to go for that reason.

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.

The service was very attentive, and our waiter, a fellow Ecuadorian...was very professional and friendly. We ordered staple tapas and dessert, and the food was very delicious. I had no idea how huge and elegant the restaurant was until I went inside to use the bathroom before leaving. We were there just after 7 pm so it wasn't as busy as I imagine it will get later, because in Barcelona, people don't have dinner until 9 or 10 PM. We ordered fresh salmon with dill, coroquetas de jamón iberico, a cod fritter, and chicken cannelloni with foie gras and black truffle sauce. We also ordered the pan with tomate, of course to soak up the truffle sauce. The cannelloni was amazing! I mean it melted in your mouth amazing!! After our snacks... We ordered dessert. We ordered their homemade Belgian chocolate ice cream, which is hands-down, the best chocolate ice cream I've ever eaten. And we also ordered their version of a crème brûlée called crema Catalonya! Both desserts were amazing, however, I highly recommend the Belgian chocolate ice cream. Overall, the experience was amazing and I hope to pop in again before we leave. Enjoy!

Cute place, nicely decorated- has great seating places to hang out. Staff welcoming and efficient. Food was great- needed a healthy meal- and we got it. We got the fattoush salad: was refreshing Mixed grill- had a kebab, grilled chicken, grilled beef (or lamb maybe- whatever it was, was good), and a lamb chop. Served on the classic thin bread with a side of grilled potato, onion, pepper! It was everything I needed it to be- all the meat was tender, flavorful and moist. Both my son and I are very picky about Lebanese food having been spoiled by the excellent Lebanese in our home town Los Angeles, so we ordered with trepidation. The very first must-try dish immediately set our minds at ease: please, do yourselves a favor and order their Fatoush salad. It's done so right, juicy tangy, bursting with flavors and the pita in the salad is made into a curly flower and gives a delicious crunch. We liked the dish of garbanzo and yogurt a bit less, as it was quite heavy and lacked flavor. My son was very pleased with shish tavouk with chicken, and I loved my halloumi dish. The service was slow (as everywhere in Barcelona) but it was efficient, and our Egyptian waiter had good recommendations for everything. He was funny and personable.
