This is a special place. For the first glance it looks like a cheap and very basic kind of rooms to…read morerent with very basic equipment and bathroom. But when you consider the add on value - things start to look different. First - the location. It is a very middle of nowhere in western Poland, on the territory that used to be an eastern German frontier - Polish border was about 15 kilometers to the east. As the result of that, Nazi Germany built the most impressive underground defense system called FFOWB that stands for Festungsfront Oder-Warthe-Bogen (Międzyrzecki Rejon Umocniony) that is bigger and more modern that the one that French built on their border with Germany (Maginot Line). It is a true must visit place for any history enthusiast. Then there is a nice lake just behind the house - you can swim, relax or take a boat and paddle around if you feel like fishing. Then - there are just massive woods around if you feel like waking or picking wild berries or wild mushrooms. Surely, there is a parking place, barbecue spot and free, fast wifi. Last not least - the owners. Lovely people who will help you with everything. And if you are lucky - you can get here the most amazing, home grown food like unbelievably tasty tomatoes or eggs from hand fed hens. Amazing! And all that for 35 PLN per person per night! I go there for last 20 years over and over again - there must be a reason, right?
