The bathroom was super clean. Ahhh. Hotel is right in the village and we had windows and a balcony overlooking the port. It was in walking distance to the beach and the village. The hotel staff was friendly and and remembered details about us every time they saw us (in a helpful, not creepy way). They had trustworthy entertainment for kids, so that we could leave our daughter for an hour or two on Saturday evening -- essentially free babysitting -- while we strolled around the village. I eat gluten free and the sweet hotel restaurant staff remembered and always brought me a gluten free plate of bread with my meal (not that I wanted it! :) ) and brought me a basket of gluten free pastries to choose from every morning. By only the second morning, as soon as they saw me enter the breakfast room, they swept upon me making sure I had good options for breakfast (again, not that I wanted pastries, but...). And, in general, they made sure every other meal was gluten free and seemed to tell the kitchen staff to watch out for contamination. The only troubling thing I could even think to say about the hotel is that they put us in a suite with a room for our 4 yo that has a balcony that she could access. We were able to work around it to prevent her from accessing it without us, but...kinda dangerous. Overall, clean, spacious, friendly, good food....kinda homey. Did I say clean? I would definitely return.

We stayed here as our first hotel on the "Stay and Visit Italy" tour. I was very pleased with our…read morestay! The setting is beautiful, right on the beach. Our balcony in our room looked out over the Mediterranean, which was lovely. They also have a nice sided swimming pool, but we opted to just swim in the sea. They have a buffet in site that was included with our stay (all meals). The food was good and there was a decent variety. A little repetitive each day, but there was always something for everyone. Our room was clean and comfortable (although beds a little firm for my taste). Room includes a (very small) tv, king bed, additional twin bed, vanity, bathroom with bidet, hair dryer, decent shower, but no tub. All in all, we were very happy with our stay and I would recommend this resort.

We arrived very late and long after the check in was closed. However instantly the extremely kind and helpful personnel showed up to welcome us kindly and to show us everything. Nothing was any problem for them at all. The stay was in reconstructed old building called Il Pozzino that offered all the comfort, luxury and style. It was a great combination of old with new, large bed, perfectly equipped kitchen, large bathroom with shower and perfectly working AC. The premises were absolutely clean and neat and were together with the large pool cleaned and prepared every morning. We loved this beautiful place that much that we didn´t drive any further as planned originally a prolonged our stay to a second night which was the maximum that we could dedicate to Maremma before returning back to Florence. However I would love to stay longer if possible.
