Secondly, the location is stunning with views of Lake Orta and two fabulous walks right outside its front door. Thirdly, the graciousness of the staff and hospitality we received were remarkable from our welcoming drink, to answering our questions, to making us feel at home. Finally, our meals from breakfast to dinner were outstanding. Thank you to all for this memorable experience.

We were seated in a beautifully decorated which was completely silent. There wasn't any friendly chatter with the servers. It was a very " serious" , without joy experience. I was served a tuna dish that didn't have any flavor. I pointed it out to the server and he said, "I understand" and nothing was done. I would not go back, there are too many other exceptional options.

We spent 3 nights here and it was great the entire time. The front desk staff is quite knowledgeable and friendly. As a non-Italian speaker, it was nice that they all spoke English pretty well. The breakfast buffet each morning did not disappoint. While we were there it included fresh pastries, fruit, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, cereal, and a few other items. Each room has it's own feel. Ours had two beds, a large bathroom, and some gorgeous views out the windows. The common areas are gorgeous and the hand paintings on the walls are impressive. The entirety of the staff, even those who I really couldn't talk to, were very friendly. There are a lot of stairs in this hotel, but a small elevator will take you up to the rooms. The grounds of the htoel are great and pretty. They have an outdoor pool, tennis court, and a Turksih spa. They do offer room service, but it is between the same hours the restaurant in the hotel is open. Apparently this time of year (around October) they restaurant sometimes does not open for lunch since it is an off season. Be prepared for that, but if you are unsure where to go the front desk can make you reservations elsewhere. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I think I would have loved it even more if I had a car and could see the neighboring areas since it was not particularly walking friendly.

I actually stayed here pn a business trip and enjoyed the lovely atmosphere here. The rooms have floor heating in the bathroom, the beds are comfortable and the wooden design is beautiful and consistent throughout the whole hotel. The only thing I didn't like so much - also the reason to give only four stars - is the fact that the rooms are showers are very small. The restaurant offers a wide range of Italian specialties which are very delicious.

The first time we went it took over 30 minutes from the time I sat down for someone to even come to my table and an additional 15 after that for the beverages to show up at our table. But the views! And the bartenders made the most amazing drinks, I was so impressed. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was INCREDIBLE and the location was perfect for exploring the entire Aosta Valley.

This convenient location is the greatest asset of the hotel. Nus on its own is not particularly exciting, but there is a basic convenience store next to the hotel for you to stock up and go on your merry way to Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, etc. The rooms are modest but clean, and both sides of the hotel have nice hillside views. Not all rooms have air conditioning, but closing the blinds during the day keeps them pleasantly cool. Plus you can always cool down in the outdoor pool and swim while enjoying the mountain views. (For winter, there is an indoor pool) As for cuisine, for a two star hotel, it really exceeded my expectations. The continental breakfast is sufficient and the dinners pleasantly filled you up with a basic salad buffet, very hearty soups or antipasto pasta, meaty main meals and a choice of desert or fruit. If you have special requirements, a la carte is also possible. If you go to a two star hotel, obviously you are not expecting high dining. The food here may have been simple, but it was of good quality and well seasoned. I recommend trying the Italian house wine with your meal. The hotel seems to be a family-run place - the staff are very kind and accommodating, even the ones speaking very little English. If I needed to stay in the area, I'd gladly come back.
