When I went in for treatment of an acute stiff neck for 2-3 days, he immediately took x-rays of my c-spine and lumbar spine and then tried to sell me a treatment plan of 6 weeks including physical therapy and spinal decompression. He was totally focused on selling me his formula generic plan to get me to come in repeatedly. I canceled further appointments and went to see another chiropractor who relieved my problem in one skillful treatment.

I have been going to Dr Kinnear for over 10 years. I'm very sad to say I will not be returning now…read morethat he has retired and Dr Campbell has taken over. I gave Dr Campbell 4 tries but each one was worse than the last. He has eliminated exam rooms and now has an "open concept" so clients are adjusted next to each other as the tables are 2 feet from each other and in front of the big window by the sidewalk for passersby to watch. There is a "rehab" area in this fishbowl with additional talking, music, and equipment clinking. This is very uncomfortable to have everyone watching you and also makes it difficult to hear in a noisy room. Dr Campbell didn't listen to my situation and instead before anything tried to sell me on setting up routine visits. He wanted 6 weeks of twice a week. Dr Kinnear never did that. Dr Kinnear would always evaluate what needed to be done, do the adjustments and then provide recommendation after. And he never hurt me. Dr Campbell did 1 small adjustment in 1 area (when Dr Kinnear would've done 4 areas) and didn't deal with the rest and instead wanted me to come back (and pay another fee on the next visit etc) Dr Campbell also wanted xrays done which are an out of pocket expense. I felt like he was all about seeing how much he can charge me for multiple visits. Dr Kinnear never did that. On each adjustment from Dr Campbell ( I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt) things got worse. He called me by the wrong name each time (despite having my chart right there!) & then made excuses for getting it wrong. He pushed on my ear instead of my skull to turn my head during a neck adjustment and punctured my earing into my neck. He grabs and jerks rather than properly prepping. I had to return the same day after visit #2 because my arm was increasingly growing numb throughout the day. He pinched something that caused my whole arm down to my fingers go numb. On visit #4, the final one, He also hurt my but from pushing on it instead of my hip for a spinal adjustment. I complained that it hurt and he said I needed to stretch. No. The spine twisting didn't hurt. His big metal watch pushed into my but hurt! Dr Campbell doesn't listen, he's rough, & has everyone on display. I do NOT advise anyone to go here. Which is really sad because I used to tell everyone to go see Dr Kinnear! Dr Campbell seems to be all about the money. My advice is to avoid him and go somewhere else. You'll save money and not run the risk of being damaged physically.
