Attended AMI's "Build & Nurture Your Agency's Sales Funnel" workshop last week, and being the first business development workshop I've experienced, I had no idea what to expect going in. I was incredibly impressed with how much value I got out of just a two day event. Personally, I made several significant breakthroughs in my agency's strategy that I'd previously been struggling to think through with self-teaching alone, (ie. podcasts, reading, audiobooks, etc). I admit that I'm pretty conservative when it comes to our agency's finances (maybe to a fault), but I came away from this workshop with so many valuable, practical learnings that I booked a spot at AMI's next workshop before last week's event had even wrapped up. AMI could honestly charge double or triple what they currently are and these workshops would still be well worth it. read more

I attended Drew's Advanced AM Bootcamp with another member of my agency's growth team. We both have a lot of experience but still found the training very useful. Attended my first AMI conference "Managing your Agency for growth, profit, and a little sanity". Drew had a well-organized, thorough approach to the subject matter presented. It was my first virtual conference and it was two days. It was a great mix of presentations and breakout discussion groups. I had 3-4 takeaways that I'm implementing into my business now. read more

I run a boutique agency on the Hoboken, NJ waterfront. I founded the company in 1988. Proud of my track record. I was so tired of hearing from Drew McClelland that I moved him to my spam folder. After all, I'd been running a successful agency for 25+ years. When my right hand asked if we could attend one of his conferences, during a time when we were feeling vulnerable and didn't know which path to take, I said yes. When it was time for the conference, we were unable to attend. Drew gave us the option of attending a different meeting. Which we did. Money Matters. What an eye opener -- for both of us. A number of attendees asked if we belonged to an AMI Network (duh?) and we spoke to Drew in more detail. The concept intrigued us and Drew matched us with AMI Momentum. In a relatively short amount of time (perhaps after the first meeting we attended as 'guests'), we were welcomed into the Momentum family and we now find ourselves with our own network of independently owned agencies, each with a different speciality and business challenges, coming together twice a year (and it's especially fun to bump into 'family that you like" -- after all, you chose one another! at a conference). No one has an agenda. We just all want one another to succeed and are there to celebrate the successes and offer an ear or shoulder when the news isn't what you were hoping. It's an incredible feeling to know that there's a group of smart, successful business owners who have my back and are eager for my support and counsel as well. Bravo, AMI! read more
