A basic rule for every type of restaurant should be: only do what you are really able to do, and do this as good as you can. At Agata Torrrisi, they follow this rule to a tee. They sell pasta, either rigatoni or spaghetti, and six or seven different sauces to go with it, and four different kinds of salad. The pasta is cooked to perfection, al dente just the way it should be, the sauces are fresh, tasty and although they have basic classical recipes they do it in a slightly refined way. They rely on cheeses and vegetable miuch more than on meat, and although I eat and enjoy meat I never missed it here. The place is run by real Italians, from Sicily as far as I know, very friendly, quick service, you feel welcome immediately. I have been there more than a dozen times for lunch since Agata is close to my workplace and was never disappointed. Lunch menu with a small drink and an excellent espresso costs 7,90 € and is worth every cent. Best value for money for miles around. read more
