You walk in and feel this light, airy good vibe. The teachers are engaged and keep you in the loop all the time. Not only do the regular classroom teachers make you feel like your kiddo is their only student, you get that same care and kindness from the teachers at the end of the day when classrooms combine. Everyone keeps us informed- even the little things. I am amazed at the details they share with me as a parent. I always walk away knowing my child is safe and in a great learning environment. We went from my child stressing out and crying on the way to school, to a child who openly tells me about her day in a happy manner. She learns things that we can replicate at home too! "You get what you get, and we don't throw a fit!" (This is a good thing. She genuinely has learned to show appreciation. It has come in handy several times when we try to show how to best accept gifts from others and to not be too picky.) She has grown with her compassion, empathy, and desire to learn new things. She has even learned some Spanish! I especially love K-Club: the Fridays club geared to prep my child for Kindergarden. We were looking for care for our 18month old, she took us to the room where her age group would be. We were looking at the kids and the teachers in the room. One teacher had her back to the kids, looking at a binder. Which I'm sure was a normal thing to do, but there was 2 kids that looked to be crying. That was concerning, as she didn't turn around to see what the situation was. Another teacher came up to the 2 kids that were crying and snatched a bowl out of his hand, very aggressively. The child continued to cry, she then moved the other kids arm out of the way, to what we could see, aggressively again. The teacher looked very frustrated with the kids. I was taken back by that, when I looked at my husband him and I had the same look of disbelief. So I knew it wasn't just me being sensitive. The assistant director says she did not see what had happened, we tried to explain what we saw. She didn't have any response. We just politely said we were going to leave, she didn't offer an apology or explanation saying she would address it. We just walked to the front in silence and exited the building. I called and spoke to the director a couple hours later, I couldn't let this go unsaid. She was pretty hostile, not very friendly. She said she was following procedure and corporate would review cameras. I'm glad they are taking action, however her demeanor was very annoyed that she had to do this. I am writing this in hopes to warn the parents of the kids who attend the school. Just be careful, check in on your kids and make sure everything is ok.

This means I have now experienced childcare in 3 different rooms at this center and at different stages of my child's development. I chose Wirtzies because when we walked the center the assistant director at the time acknowledged children with their names as we walked through. She showed that the staff there would care about my child and treat them like a little human and not just a child. My gut felt that this would be a good place. They offer an inner generational program where the children have time with the elderly adults in their day program. This also was something that was of interest to me. My gut was right. They care about my child. My child has learned so much from them that he wouldn't learn at home. I get pictures and updates from them regularly. There have been incidents where he is hurt or hurts someone else. But you would be hard pressed to find a parent who watches their own child and never gets hurts. You can't watch your child 24 hours a day and neither can they with a state ratio of 5 to 1. They have addressed each incident appropriately. They care about my child and that is worth anything I need to pay them but they are affordable. I know they also offer state subsidized care if needed. My child is happy there. He loves his friends and his teachers. He even loves the ladies at the front desk.

Knows how to follow directions at home. I now love watching her sing and dance by herself. She is excited to go to school in the mornings and gets sad on days she doesn't have school. Andrea and Vanessa have made my daughter feel safe and comfortable. Outstanding teachers/caregivers are very rare. Hats off to Andrea! She just knows what my daughter needs (as if she has known her longer than a few months!) Vanessa with her kind smile, is there to help my daughter feel secure that she can wear her backpack till she's ready to take it off. Seriously, the teamwork that has been developed in this class is what any parent would hope for. To all the other ladies as well, I just wanted to give a huge thank you for guiding my daughter in this class! I am forever grateful! I drive away every morning knowing my daughter is in excellent hands!

You have the usual hiccups with a new baby at daycare- lots of illness being spread between the kids, but they are really good about giving us notice for when stuff is starting to spread. The classrooms are clean and despite all the other kids in the room I really feel like my little girl is getting a lot of individualized attention. Seriously amazing place I can't recommend it enough Update: She has since moved into the older classroom and her teacher is also phenomenal! She learns a lot and is always coming home with new pictures and her vocabulary is really taking off. They also threw a really cute event for Halloween and have fun parties. Just absolutely love this place and the teachers- Ashley the director, Josie in the infant room, Emily in the 1 year old room and Kayleigh in the older 1s and 2s (I think that is her name, yikes I feel bad) are some of the stand outs.
