I am a first-time Mom and was VERY nervous about putting him in daycare after I went back to work and my mind was eased after the very first day. He has loved all of his teachers and instantly holds his arms out to go to them when we drop him off. They do SO many activities with him to further help develop his skills (fine motor, social, cognitive, sensory, etc) and I'm personally a huge fan of the app they use to keep us updated throughout the day. They even send pictures as well :) We are moving back to our home state in a couple of weeks and are so bummed that his time at ACP has to come to an end. We are really hoping our experience at the next daycare will be as great as our experience at ACP has been.

I hate writing this but I need to. I even waited so long in hopes that this daycare would be back…read moreto the amazing daycare we once thought it was. Let start with what just happened this last Wednesday. My wife goes to pick up my son however he comes out without his back pack or water bottle we sent him with so my wife kindly ask that we do bring it back because we do use it for more occasions other than school. 10 minutes later the teacher comes back empty handed and asks my wife to go back and look for it herself. After instructing my wife that it should be with one of the cubby's, we realize he doesn't have his own cubby in the 2's room. Understandable considering he's transitioning into the 3's room. Well after no luck in the 2's she moves into the 3's room to find his backpack simply just sitting on a desk in the middle of the room. Fair enough, we recognized this was a newer teacher however, after careful inspection she realized even in the 3's room he didn't have his own cubby. My son has no designated spot for him in this school. Well, as upset as she is she takes my son home and notices a smell. Well, he's almost 3 in the process of potty training so maybe an accident? No. And old accident they didn't even bother to change his underwear after, as well as residuals on my sons butt from not being properly cleaned up. What's the point of sending the 3 back up pairs of clothes they specifically ask for if they're not going to bother changing my son after an accident, so now he has an awful rash that pains him just to sit down Now onto the tuition. For the last several months my wife and I have been paying for three days a week for my son to attend. Just recently my wife moved to part-time at her work and was able to take him usually an extra day so sometimes we would only need two days of daycare. After I personally spoke to the Director of the kids Academy daycare I was given the OK to only have to pay for two days of daycare. After about three weeks of doing so the Director comes back and tells me I've been under paying and I need to make sure that I pay back the remaining that I owe. well apparently she was talking about the extra day that we hadn't been paying for for the last couple of weeks because she told me I didn't have to. So they want to head and back charged me charging me a total of $250 cover the current weeks tuition of three days and the last couple of days we DIDNT send my son. Now they expect me to pay for 3 days even if he only attends 2 to make sure to "keep his spot". I'm sorry, what did I pay his $125 enrollment for? Oh right, HIS SPOT. I'm sorry Kids Academy but we as parents have been dreading our son going to your daycare we've even decided to send him elsewhere. Big disappointment and don't waste your money on this careless daycare that smells like dirty diapers the second you walk in. Disgusting

This chapter was a huge transition for both of us. I put my trust and heart in the hands of The Kids Academy. They were so supportive to my son and to me. I am so grateful because as hard as the transition was, they were patient, kind and caring. I would call daily to check up on him. My son grew to love this place and so did I! He became potty trained in a very short time frame. I noticed his vocabulary and speech enhance as he was talking more than ever in full sentences! He made friends, loved his teachers and we both learned to be comfortable with the separation during school/work hours! I will forever be grateful for The Kids Academy as they played a huge role!

Thank you, thank you! We are so grateful we found BSP in 2021 as visiting other places left us uneasy. I've been going back and forth for about three months whether or not to post a review. And honestly…read moreit was out of fear of what the preschool would do to my child but I hope this review can save another parent and child from the heartbreak it has caused my family. I have spent this summer rebuilding my son's confidence and self esteem to remind him that he is an amazing boy I'll prefece this review with my son tested gifted and was diagnosed with ADHD. However a lot of the "behaviors" are typical for a 4/5 year old as I've been told by two different child psychologists, our pediatrician, and an OT. As the parent of a young child, I enrolled my son in this Peace Lutheran preschool hoping for a compassionate, developmentally informed environment. While the school presents itself as nurturing and structured, our experience revealed a concerning lack of understanding and preparedness among the teaching staff and administration for supporting children that may not fit the "box". One of the most difficult aspects of our time here was realizing that the staff--though well-meaning--lacked basic training in managing and engaging with children who exhibit ADHD-related behaviors. Rather than using strategies I shared with them or showing flexibility, teachers frequently responded to my son's impulsivity and energy with frustration or disciplinary measures that did not address the root of the behavior. There was little to no sign of inclusivity within the classroom. It became apparent that behaviors that are common in children that are neurodivergent, were labeled as misbehavior, and my child was often treated as a problem to be managed rather than a student to be supported. The lack of understanding from staff led not only to missed learning opportunities but also to a negative impact on my son's self-esteem and sense of belonging. What was most disheartening was the unwillingness to collaborate or grow. When we raised concerns and offered to share resources, the response was often defensive rather than welcomed. There was no indication that the staff or leadership were interested in seeking professional development or creating a more inclusive environment. We ultimately made the decision to leave the program, and thankfully have found a new preschool where the staff are trained, compassionate, and adaptable. My son is now thriving in an environment where his needs are met with skill and empathy. To any parent of a neurodiverse child considering this school: please proceed with caution. And to the leadership of this preschool--these children deserve better. With the right training and mindset, you could become the kind of place where all children can thrive. I sincerely hope you choose that path.

Everyone keeps us informed- even the little things. I am amazed at the details they share with me as a parent. I always walk away knowing my child is safe and in a great learning environment. We went from my child stressing out and crying on the way to school, to a child who openly tells me about her day in a happy manner. She learns things that we can replicate at home too! "You get what you get, and we don't throw a fit!" (This is a good thing. She genuinely has learned to show appreciation. It has come in handy several times when we try to show how to best accept gifts from others and to not be too picky.) She has grown with her compassion, empathy, and desire to learn new things. She has even learned some Spanish! I especially love K-Club: the Fridays club geared to prep my child for Kindergarden. She gets fun homework to do with the family on the weekends (nothing too tough at all) so that we can bond over learning. It really has gotten her excited for the next step on her education journey! Great team and I am thankful everyday to have them in my child's corner.

We were looking for care for our 18month old, she took us to the room where her age group would be. We were looking at the kids and the teachers in the room. One teacher had her back to the kids, looking at a binder. Which I'm sure was a normal thing to do, but there was 2 kids that looked to be crying. That was concerning, as she didn't turn around to see what the situation was. Another teacher came up to the 2 kids that were crying and snatched a bowl out of his hand, very aggressively. The child continued to cry, she then moved the other kids arm out of the way, to what we could see, aggressively again. The teacher looked very frustrated with the kids. I was taken back by that, when I looked at my husband him and I had the same look of disbelief. So I knew it wasn't just me being sensitive. The assistant director says she did not see what had happened, we tried to explain what we saw. She didn't have any response. We just politely said we were going to leave, she didn't offer an apology or explanation saying she would address it. We just walked to the front in silence and exited the building. I called and spoke to the director a couple hours later, I couldn't let this go unsaid. She was pretty hostile, not very friendly. She said she was following procedure and corporate would review cameras. I'm glad they are taking action, however her demeanor was very annoyed that she had to do this. I am writing this in hopes to warn the parents of the kids who attend the school. Just be careful, check in on your kids and make sure everything is ok.
