Fortunately that was not the case. Everyone wore masks, not always perfectly, but wore them nonetheless. My braids turned out great but they were almost painfully tight. My scalp was really itchy and irritated because of how tight they were. I'm not tender headed but if you are, you may want to let them know that. If I go back, I'll be sure to say something about the tightness so I don't deal with the scalp issues again. The hair they used was really smooth which I liked. I feel that my braids held up really well as I took them out about a month and half after. Oh and it only took about 5-6 hours to do my hair and I have long, thick and dense hair. I'm used to 8-12 hours for getting braids. I don't have photos because I don't like selfies - sorry! Overall, I was satisfied with my service and the look of the braids. I would definitely come back in future to try out a different style.

I asked for FIVE medium braids and 4 small braids in between each medium. Well she obviously gave me what SHE wanted me to have which was 5 HUGE braids, 1 medium braid and 5 small braids. When asked why the braids are so large and differ in size, she told me I didn't have enough hair for the final braid that was dangling because it was too big (a bogus excuse as to why she MESSED up). NOOO, She just didn't part it correctly. However, I asked if I can come back for correction she coldly told me NO. I paid via CASH APP. One of the owners quickly assisted me with the schedule change and I was good to go. Due to traffic I was a little late, but my braider, Mia, still welcomed me with a smile and was very pleasant and understanding. She carefully washed my hair and then blow dried it. And guess what? THE SHAMPOO AND BLOW DRY ARE INCLUDED WITH YOUR BRAIDING SERVICE!! It's hard to find a salon that doesn't require you to come already washed and blow dried before having your hair braided. Mia was very gentle with my thick, natural hair during the entire process. Her work was neat and it came out beautifully! I will definitely be booking with her again!

They're nice and the work is quality However the inconsistencies with pricing when you call and request pricing versus when you get in there, it's very problematic. I called last Thursday to get the pricing of how much it would be to touchup my perimeter braids on the phone. The young lady who said her name was FiFi stated it was $80 for bow hole knotless touchup the entire perimeter of my head. I get in there today and a woman who also claims her name is FiFi, but doesn't remember speaking to me states that it's 155 to redo the perimeter of my head stating l that only the front is $80. I tried to explain to her several times. That's not what I was told on the phone when I called I also explained what I was told on the phone and I stated that at this point it didn't matter because I had already taken my perimeter braids down so I had to pay for it regardless this woman goes back-and-forth with me about how there's no way that could've been stated and trying to discuss in-depth with me. What I paid on my previous appointment when I was there a month ago when when I was getting my hair done. She wasn't even there the whole day. I asked her twice if we can move forward I also asked her why she was discussing a hair appointment from a month ago. This woman wanted to argue with me about how she claimed to tell me the price, but doesn't remember the phone conversation The manager ended up getting involved and she gave me a discount 125 which is fine. I don't have a problem with the price of 155 I simply was explaining that wasn't what I was told the other one and men wanted to argue with me so bad about this even going so much just saying that she wasn't lying and I stated I never said that you were what I'm saying is I wasn't told. I also asked three times if I could just start my hair and not go back-and-forth with her, she made a scene in that salon and it was very rude and it was very unprofessional. The problem I have is when you call the prices are inconsistent. Then later on she told me it was gonna be an extra if I wanted four strands of bow hole left out versus three when the last time I was there and I paid 260 for my hair done that is the way that they did it. Three strands left out in the middle four on the top and no one charged me extra. Then she tells me that the Hair is extra cost again when I was there a month ago nobody stated here was extra cost nor did they pay so every time I go in here which is now twice the story is different at this point if you go, just make sure you get confirmed pricing. I'd also like to add that nobody in that shop after this whole ordeal said goodbye to me like they had said every other customer with the exception of the lady who was braiding my hair so when I left, it's pretty clear that they were all upset because I told that woman that she did not give me the correct pricing over the phone because she didn't. And I still end up paying $150 because I tipped my braider $30. Which was never my issue. My issue is the lack of consistency with pricing in the Rood nature in the ordeal. I went through while simply trying to get my hair done.
