The commercials drew me in and the efficient and speedy telephone service hooked me for my first visit which was scheduled within 24 hours of my initial telephone call. With both of these things coupled together, I was ready to obtain my NEW SMILE. But, that is where all of the positive things stopped. Once arriving in the office, I was barely acknowledge but required to complete paperwork. The initial wait was not long nor was the wait in the back-but it became evident that it was all about the money. They do not accept insurance of any type but will gladly give you a form for dental reimbursement--only after you pay in full. They will not even consider given you that form to submit to your insurance to find out how much you could possibly get back from reimbursement. The first question they ask is, "what is your budget?" I stated my budget was no more than $3,000.00 and surprisingly enough my estimated total was $2,833.73---that is close to the budge correct. When I called the next day with questions, I could not get past the receptionist who only said, once I paid they would answer anything or give me a form. I have not looked back but I did smile again by going to another dentist. read more

Most of their reviews are absolutely scary I'd be scared to go there at all was hoping the reviews would be good ones but mst are just at down right terrible everyone can't be wrong right ??? read more

I went to Affordable Dentures in Smyrna. They charged me $12,000.00, yanked and implant out of my jawbone. Gave me no medication for that injury and left me without any usable dentures adn implants sticking out of my otherwise toothless mouth. They are unethical and viscious. They care nothing for you and will take your money and then not provide treatment. Stay away. read more

I needed to have my dentures realigned and had always had a good experience with them. When I called, the lady said it would be 60 dollars. I went in and they put the lining in and then told me the cost. 175 dollars! I will never go back or recommend them to anyone else. Thank God I had a credit card. read more

Do not recommend this place. I wish I'd seen the reviews before I went. People beware . They do a very shifty job. Oh they want their money all of it up front. But the end result. Pathetic. I don't smile , laugh , talk to people or go out anymore. Thanks for ripping me off. read more

I have been dealing with this place for many years. I have had things happen here that I'm not even believing. Before yesterday the drunk woman and the dentist was one of the strangest. She hopped in my car for a ride! Yesterday I was abused. I had to ask three people not to be so rough. I have a bruise under my chin to prove it. The dentist who is nice as can be while they're doing their part and until they get your $. Was very disrespectful and never asked if I was ok. They wouldn't tell me what they were doing until the 3rd assistant came and still didn't explain fully. My denture that goes on my implant broke. This was the 2nd time. It was thin and had sharp edges. They always have an excuse and make it look like I did something--even if they told me to. They change their story. For over two years I've dealt with this. I've been kind and respectful. I've put $25,000 in my mouth and it's still a mess. They said oh you have bone loss it won't fit. Well it was fitting (uncomfortably because of sharp edges) before i went. I could write a book about things that happened there. I kept going back because of money but unless I get an apology I will never have one thing to do with this nightmare dentist office. read more

My experience was absolutely terrible. The receptionist is rude. The owning Dr. seems to be more concerned with his reputation than giving quality service. Which tend to go hand in hand. read more

I was going to be a returning customer, but they wouldn't even call me back!!!! They have 5 different numbers and you get a recording for each one!! I finally reached someone after two hours on hold!!! DID YOU GET THAT??? TWO FREAKIN' HOURS!!! She said, "the system is down, but someone will call you back and help you schedule an appointment." That was over a week ago.... I got online with a competitor and I was able to book an appointment immediately!! Plus, the prices are about the same. I need a replacement lower denture and it looks like I can kick AFFORDABLE DENTURES' sorry ass to the curb!!! Obviously, I do NOT recommend them!! You're time is too valuable to waste on these clowns!!! read more

I've read the reviews here re: Affordable Dentures. I disagree with them. We found this place to be pretty darn efficient. We went in early in the morning, they diagnosed what we needed to do and they pulled my husband's bottom teeth which had gone bad from medications he has to take. we were only there a couple of hours and then left to come that afternoon for his temporary dentures. We got back, didn't wait but a very short time and they fitted him with his temporaries. ONE day. I thought it was great. Total time in office ...not more than 3.5 hours Leah B. read more

This place is horrible do not go there. You have to make a morning appointment to stay all day long. They tell you same service to find out at the end of your long day wait you have to come back tomorrow to pick up and when you do pick up the person who fits them is more horrible with their breath smelling bad and then tell you that you expect for the new dentures to be the same as the old. Really you for paid almost 900.00 you should be treated like the human you are. The dentures do not fit and it's a waist of time and has to go over there for the person to tell you give it time . It's all about the money and BS really who owns this slaughter houses. You really should train your staff to have more respect and treat people nice with alll the money you make I hope people see all the bad reviews and choose some where else to go. read more

This place should be shut down. Took my mom for a full set of replacement dentures. It was just a horrible experience for us, especially her. We arrived for an early appointment, but it was 2 hrs before she was seen. Took her back and in about another hour she came back to the waiting area with no teeth. They actually force you to leave your old denture with them while you wait outside looking like a freak with no teeth. And there were at least 40 people there staring at you. After another 3 hours she was called back and got her new dentures. They didn't fit and another 2 hours later she had them and we left. They still didn't fit right, so we were there another 4 hours the next day to get them right. The only recommendation I can make us to run as far as you can away from this denture mill! read more

This place messed up the paperwork they gave me for filing with the insurance company so bad that it took me months to finally get reimbursed. They misspelled my name, listed a service they showed as performed in the year 1700, left off codes for procedures, etc. When I went to their office and asked them to give me corrected paperwork they were rude and told me they couldn't do it. Eventually, working with the insurance company, I downloaded blank insurance forms and created correct insurance claims. The insurance company paid it swiftly. Now when I call to set up an appointment to get my temporary denture replaced with a permanent denture, which I paid for last March, they tell me they don't have an opening for almost two months. Again, they expressed no desire to help me. read more

Did not explain how long it would take, got money upfront and almost a year later teeth were installed and did not match other teeth and wanted me to pay for their mistakes. Never again will I use them or surely not recommend them. read more

I used this place for complete denture set. Took two years. In that time I had sooooooo many problems!!!! I HATE that place and am so glad I never have to go back! Affordable is such a lie. The only "affordable set" your kid could make. I ended up spending thousands. That's not affordable in my world. The turn around of staff is unbelievably high. The bedside manner of my dentist sucked! I would only recommend that you RUN away and don't use this place. read more

They move people through very fast and the experience overall is like dealing with used car salesmen. They are not friendly or polite. They only care about money. Your comfort doesn't matter nearly as much as milking you for all they can. If you wish to be treated like a person with basic dignity, don't go to affordable dentures. read more

Repaired upper plate for $110 lasted 3 days He tried it again lasted till just before we came home. Don't waste your money on repair job. If he knew how iffy it was why do it. I hoped he would put it towards new ones, but no. He couldn't do that. $110 and two days wasted. read more

I have had the worst experience with any business I have ever been to at this place. the first day I went there they wanted to charge me for every single thing they thought I needed done and I ended up paying $250 cash for the sedation. on the day that I was supposed to have three teeth taken out my appointment was at 10 a.m. and by noon I was the only person sitting in the waiting room and every single person that came in before and after me had done left so I went and I asked what was going on. the man I spoke with which was supposed to be the owner told me I needed to leave so I asked for a refund because I had already paid the $250 the first time I came in and the morning that I came in for the extractions I paid another $270 so when the man told me to leave I asked for a refund. the lady up front told me she'd give me a refund for the $270 I paid that day but it ended up that she charged me another $270 instead of refunding it to me which made my checking account go overdrawn. then I asked if I was going to be refunded the $250 I paid the first day and the lady told me to show her my receipt which I did not keep because I had intended on getting my teeth pulled there so I threw away that receipt after I left the first day. so now they will not refund me my $250 I paid to begin with and now they have charged my checking account twice for $270. so in the end they got almost $1,000 out of me and did not give me a penny back. other than them taking all of my hard-earned money everyone working there was completely and utterly rude as possible, I mean, unprofessional, and had no customer service skills at all. I would save your time effort and money on going to this business as they are only interested in getting every single penny they can out of you no matter if they do anything to help you or not. this is by far the worst business I have ever been associated with in my entire life the, I cannot stress enough how emotionally, financially, physically, and mentally they mistreated me and they had no regard to my well-being and what was best for me all they wanted was my money and that was it. every single thing I have said in this review is 100% true and I will certainly be calling the Better Business Bureau about this business as soon as I physically can. best wishes to you I hope you can find a different dentist other than this place to help you with your mouth and teeth because all this business wants to do is pull all of your teeth out of your head and I tell you you need dentures, this is how they make their money. please take this into consideration when you are choosing a dentist. Also I wish there was an option for zero or negative stars because this place doesn't even deserve one star. read more

My father went here, after reviewing this place on other sites I told my father not to go here. This place is nothing but a mill. No appts. just wait like cattle. Now he needs it adjusted again and now realizes the mistake he made. read more

Today my fiancé received the best service from Dr. Ed and his assistant Mr. Scott. Let me start off saying in the beginning it was hard to get my fiancé to even consider seeing a dentist after having such a bad experience with another dentist a while back ! We came into Affordable Dentures yesterday to see about getting implants to where my fiancé ended up walking out in the middle of it due to anxiety. Dr. Ed was very nice to give him a prescription for panic attacks and invited us back the next day to get this procedure done. We arrived this morning. Mr. Scott stayed with us the whole procedure making sure my fiancé was comfortable and feeling safe with everything that was going on. With four teeth being pulled so that Dr. Ed could give him a new smile with a Partial Implant. So very happy that these two man made my guy feel so comfortable and safe. Thank you two so very much for your kindness and for getting him through this! My fiancé is resting now and feeling no pain and I just know that he is going to be smiling everyday ! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs Dentures, Implants or even a Partial Implant. read more

I work for a non-profit agency and have been bringing our clients in need of dental care/dentures here over the past couple of years with no issues. However, today, I was utterly disgusted with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a rude receptionist, and all the nurses/staff seemed to hate having to be there by the looks on their faces, and their sour attitudes. I took a client who needs a full set of dentures, and I suspected some teeth pulled as well, but I never thought we'd get quoted $7,000 from a place called AFFORDABLE Dentures. Keep in mind, my client is on disability income, does not have insurance, and does not have the funds to pay for this, hence why we come to Affordable Dentures. When I asked to speak to someone to have them explain why the cost was so high, the front receptionist rolled her eyes at me, and said "take a seat and I'll have someone talk to you." The dentist called me back to an exam room, with my client, and asked "what's the problem?" I simply asked for an explanation of the costs listed in the "treatment plan" they printed for me which also included the most expensive set of dentures. They are charging $159 per tooth extraction (even though their pricing list states $95 for extractions) and said all 32 of my client's teeth need to come out, no exceptions. I asked to change the "treatment plan" to the basic/economy set of dentures to bring the price down, which brought it down to $6,000 (wow!!). Needless to say, I'm no dentist, so I guess I will trust what the dentist says about needing all 32 teeth out, BUT I will never bring another client here again, and we will be going to Interfaith Dental Clinic or Matthew Walker for my client's dental needs. Hopefully there we will at least get treated with kindness, dignity and respect, and they'll actually live up to their affordable dental services. read more

I could write out a long drawn out explanation on why this place is horrible but I will give you the key points since I know you are deciding if this is the place to make/service your dentures. Literally go ANYWHERE else. I did not get my dentures made by affordable dentures (thank god) They were made at an actual dentist office before my dentist moved. I LOVED my dentures, they looked great, I had them for over a year with no issues, but then came the time for a reline, and I figured, that even though affordable had mixed reviews, even the worst place can do a reline. I now have teeth that slant downward at a 30 degree angle. They REFUSE to fix them. I asked to speak to the owner, and he would not speak to me. The people that did speak to me, tried to convince me that my teeth were slanted before, (even though i had pictures proving it) and in the end, they offered to remake the denture for me (absolutely not) or give me a refund. I chose refund, but im still left with my teeth OBVIOUSLY slanted, at 28 years old, making the fact that I have dentures, embarrasingly apparent. PLEASE. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Go somewhere that actually cares about how you feel because when it comes to dentures, and your SMILE, its about what YOU think is best for YOU, not what gets THEM the most money. If you never listen to another review, please listen to this one, I cried all day because i dont want to go to work and have people notice how awful my smile is now. read more

It's hard to explain how this office works. It's a denture mill. I found it needing a repair to my partial. I waited an hour to go to the back. The doctor barely looked in my mouth but charged for an exam and quoted me a price. I should have left and found another dentist with a lab. I didn't and the delivery experience was horrible. I, again, waited and then was handed my partial in a bag by the receptionist. Having worn one for years I knew enough to look at it. The repair was poorly done (the replaced tooth is not even with the one next to it) but I could live with that. What was unacceptable were the sharp edges, rough finish, and dental material left on the partial. Again, I wait to be seen. The dental tech who saw me couldn't understand why these were issues. He did a few ineffective adjustments and when I told him they needed to come back to me the way I brought them in but with a new tooth, he said he'd have to get the dentist and I overheard him telling him I came in for a simple repair ($140) and was asking for more services than I paid for. That lie, my friends, is why I'm writing this review. It took me getting really loud until the dentist sent in a senior female tech who made things better. Is my partial as smooth, no, but it is wearable. When the dentist finally shows up, he asks what's the problem - like he wasn't in the next cube listening to the entire conversation. After sharing my perspective I told him I shouldn't even have to have this conversation with him because my partial should never have been delivered in that manner. As he stood there with his stone cold face, I could tell I was wasting my time and assured him I would not be back and that the first tech should not be customer facing. I did stop and thank the very kind tech who did her best to make things better. I couldn't recommend this business less. read more

So I went in to have 10 teeth extracted and receive top dentures. The receptionist is unbearably RUDE and during the extraction the Dentist, Dr Byrd (I believe was his name) spent the whole time talking to the tech about how amazing HE was and how they were SO lucky to have him back! Seriously??? I went in a week later and the other dentist (or prosthodontist) that came in was very nice BUT the tech helping me didn't tell me why they were doing anything; she would leave me waiting forever then come in and shove something in my mouth and tell me to "Bite Down" and then run back out of the room. Then came back 5-10 min later and took whatever back out of my mouth and ran back out of the room. Then 10-15 min later came back in, shoved my denture back in my mouth and told me "YOU'RE GOING TO BE HAPPY NOW"! Since the denture fit a little better than when I went in I shook my head and said "it's a little better but they are still crooked". She told me that I'd be fine... And rushed me out the door telling me to call them in 4-6 weeks. REALLY????? I DID plan on getting the teeth on bottom removed there and getting them to make my bottom denture but I'm quickly starting to realize that I might be way better off going somewhere that won't rush you out the door but still expecting "EVERY PENNY i COULD POSSIBLY SAVE" read more

First thing it is a dentist office'not a spa. With that said I called them at 7:30 a.m they gave me an appt.for 8:30 . Showed up early was in the back less than 3hours had 23 teeth extracted- xrays done and was leaving. Told to return between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm to pick up my dentures.Returned at 3:00 pm waited less than 15 minutes was taken to back was told what to expect and how and what to do for the next 24 hours. The only complaint I have is that they don't offer some type of a seductive other than a zanex to calm your nerves or novacane for extractions. But with my experience there everyone a I was involved with was and acted very professional.Very. very pleased with the quality of my temporary dentures .Looking forward to my permanent dentures. read more

Horrible, horrible place. Affordable Dentures provided me with the worst service I have ever experienced with any "professional" medical office. Rude, hostile, uninformed staff, high pressure sales techniques and "Bait and Switch" tactics, provided a dental experience reminiscent of "Little Shop of Horrors." I would not recommend this sham of a dental practice to my worst enemy. read more
