A lot of stores in Amsterdam claim to sell vintage, but the merchandise is more like second hand clothing. There is a difference if you ask a dedicated thrift shopper. Vintage has a direction and time period focus and second hand is anything that was worn by someone else and resold. They have a great selection of sweaters, jackets, fur, purses, belts, dresses, tops, and boots. I got one thick knee length black and grey sweater with buttons for 19€ and another sweater top which is more thin and delicate for 15€. They were both great purchases considering the prices I've seen for vintage in Amsterdam and the quality of both sweaters. If you want true vintage at a good price, definitely check this store out!

They also have a new DHL collection locker in the parking lot and a Post NL pickup inside, with quick service. Large parking lot too! I ship most of my packages here since it's so convenient and then always end up shopping their tables in the middle of the aisle for affordable little things, like tape, fasteners and anything else. I like the tire filling machine in the parking lot, it's automated but not part of Praxis.

From colorful hand painted ceramic bowls to Dia de los Muertos style figurines, this place has got you covered. Its sections range from stationary to kitchenware to kids stuff to party supplies to furniture - really a dizzying array of things both practical and/or pretty. My favorites have got to be the vintage style posters and drawer liners by the meter - not like I purchased any of these, but looking through these colorful rows or patterns is so much fun! The upstairs is a whole outlet area with discounted stuff, some pretty good bargains to be had! If I ever need a piñata or a painted skull or knockoff Barbie doll clothes or a replica Acapulco chair, I know EXACTLY where to go now!

Luckily I was flying Easy Jet back, or I may have loaded up a trailer or a boat and floated myself back to London on a brightly colored ship with all the doo-dads. ALL OF THEM. Instead I bought a red rooster tape dispenser (10 euros) and a really cute mobile (for a baby boy). I even got 15 percent off the mobile because it was the only one left, and a display model. They offered this without any protestation from me! Great customer service. A very fun shop to pop into. Great to buy a few little things for kids back home, or a statement piece to remind you of the fabulous time you had in Amsterdam. Also, bright umbrellas -- you'll need one here, and in Europe.

Price I would say is from inexpensive to moderate. A second hand store in the center of Amsterdam is pretty easy to reach, since it's in the center. I had a lot of unnecessary clothes, shoes and accessories that I was not using but was just too fabulous to give a way so easily, so I dropped it right off here. I was please to hear that for every item they sell of yours that you get back 50 % of revenue from it. I thought that was very reasonable on their part, compared to some of the other business. Plus I love shopping from Big Department Stores to right down to cute second hand boutiques! So enjoy and please keep in mind their shop is open 4 days a week.

Mr & I did not visit the museum but instead got our fill of lovely blue & white Delft here at Jorrit Heinen

There are even a lot of items that are on sale, a whole section of the store actually. So this place is conveniently located and has a lot of variety for any budget. Highly recommend it even for souvenirs over the souvenirs shops with official delftware since you can find similar price points here but so much variety and be inspired by collectible items. Also notice the golden delftware on the second floor. Don't see that everyday.
