Mr. Nellies was the first attorney I spoke to on the phone regarding a lawsuit against my employer. He did answer right away, which was a plus. I'm leaving two stars instead of one because although he left me in tears, he did still take my call. I was not expecting him to speak the way he did, per many good reviews he has. I did not feel like he was empathetic at all. He would rush me and cut me off mid-conversation. He would make assumptions before I could finish my story. He even told me it seems like I'm retaliating against a company where things have ended badly. Please keep in mind, I've gone through sexual harassment, I've been bullied and silenced, and I was wrongfully terminated. I've had my share of trauma. So to hear these things was like a shot to the heart. He would then justify it by saying 'he knows how people think' - they being the judge/jury I'm assuming. That's probably true. And in his opinion I'm sure he was trying to be honest and to the point, but there's a manner of going about that. I also know, after speaking to another attorney, that a lot of what he said was misguided and untrue. It was just not an 'easy, big case' for him. The other attorney I spoke to was nothing like Mr. Nellies. He was extremely kind and his manner of explaining things was more clear. He may be your go-to lawyer if it's an easy case, but if it's not, he may not be the lawyer for you. I ended up crying for 10 minutes after our call and was lying in bed motionless before the next attorney, who was great, called. read more
