I was in the process of settling my mothers estate but had a bit of a quandary. My mother was British but grew up in Paris, France ...... how she ended up in Sheffield, Alabama for 76 years is another story in itself. She had MANY extremely nice pieces of French furniture,art and art objects, many inherited from her grandparents and parents. These went back to Louis XV, some even older, all in very good condition. She had taken very good care of these pieces and were used and displayed in her living room, dining room and other parts of her home.
Thanks to her organization, notes and older appraisals, we had an idea of value but it was somewhat out dated. The heirs, including me, took items that were meaningful and memorable to us but even with that left many fine objects.
Advantage Realty and Auction was referred to us so I phoned them. Stephanie Pigg and her husband Marold met with us and you could tell immediately they new their business. So nice, polite, friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
The french items were a bit out of her knowledge range but fortunately she had connections out of town and they came to Sheffield to educate us both. She wanted to insure that we were pleased with her pricing as well, which we were.
Stephanie and her staff were amazing. We were all so very pleased at her marketing ability,display presentation, salesmanship, organization and most of all, her genuine personality. We feel they went above and beyond and we will have know problem at all in recommending her company to anyone.
Best part, we are now good friends ...... very happy we met
