Dr. Adashek was my gyn of 26yrs. I wish I had not stayed with him as a patient for all these years…read more He was my favorite until he showed his true colors. I had an immune response to a steroid shot. I was having severe Cognitive and neurological issues, memory loss as well as many horrible symptoms, such as lyme and mold infections that arose from weakened immune system. I was unable to detox the steroid properly that caused havoc on my body. It even depleted my hormones. Right away, he called me Bipolar. I went to the ER several times with confusion, neurological issues, severe low BP, high heart rate when standing, severe weakness and fatigue and many other issues. I was unable to advocate for myself due to brain inflammation effecting my ability to communicate properly. No care from the clueless ER docs and labeled as anxiety ridden and gaslit me. I trusted Dr. Adashek for so many years and when I needed him he belittled me and was verbally abusive to me and called me "a hot mess" when I was having serious neurological issues and going to the ER several times for help. He had no idea of my suffering and thought it was a joke! What kind of caring, respectful doctor speaks to a patient suffering in any way this way? He is a disgrace. He then tried to prescribe dangerous medication to me he had no right to EVER prescribe not being a psychiatrist for one and not knowing why I was suffering the way I was suddenly. To choose to just prescribe such habit forming drugs to me when I have never taken meds my entire life is beyond dangerous! I had never been depressed or had cognitive issues in my life. I always had a smile on my face and saw him once a year for my yearly appt. I was just married 9months prior and so happy planning my honeymoon. Instead of him recognizing something was very wrong with me, he didn't care to help me and labeled me as Bipolar. People do not wake up one day bipolar and unable to think clearly. I really can't believe how cold and incompetent he truly is. He hides behind a facade and I wish I had seen it sooner. He didn't want to be bothered to help his patient of 26yrs. Shameful. I suffered for months until I found a wonderful functional doctor that got to the root cause. His Nurse Practitioner, Ariel Paskin, tried to give me testosterone when my levels were normal and very coldly told me to go to Sheppard Pratt when I was having severe fatigue and confusion and unable to get out of bed due to mitochondrial dysfunction. A female NP that is supposed to care for women and make them feel safe. The way she treated me was disgusting! They both had no concern for me whatsoever and labeled me in an instant without having a clue to what was really going on. They are clueless and have no right diagnosing anyone on medical matters. Dr. Adashek likes to play psychiatrist, but he isn't one, and pushing addictive medications like Klonopin or any of those class of drugs on me was being reckless with my life. I was treated horribly by Dr. Adashek and his NP. Going forward, I would never feel safe with him or trust him. I would never recommend him or his practice to anyone.

My biggest regret was he no longer delivers babies so I trusted him with a referral to an obstetrician when it was time to see one.

I believe the establishment in Towson is subpar. I had inquired earlier this year if I could get…read moresome tests to either rule out or confirm a diagnosis. I was told there is no test to take. I am now with a new provider, and I was able to get a blood test at my first appointment. One of my medical conditions has gotten worse throughout the year, and I inquired about support with my employer. I was advised by my two providers that medication is the only support I can be given, or that we only need to evaluate my condition every month. I am very disappointed in Dr. Ahern and Morgan Wilkerson. It is apparent that they are not in the business of supporting those who need OBGYN services. I wasn't even at the location for a year, and I could see that. At least I'm at a new provider, and they specialize in my condition. I can understand that both providers may not have been sufficiently educated about my condition, so it made sense to make the change. I'm so happy with my provider now. Thank you for the horrible experience, Capital Women's Care!

From the moment I began my care at the Towson location, every single person I encountered was kind, supportive, and truly invested in my well being. I was a nervous wreck, overwhelmed and struggling with depression, but the entire team stood by me every step of the way. Even though this wasn't my first pregnancy, it was my first experience with this OB-GYN office and I can honestly say, it was the best care I've ever received. They not only provided excellent medical attention, but also made sure I was never left feeling unheard or alone. They took time to educate me, listened to my concerns, and made sure I was comfortable and informed throughout the entire journey. When it came time to deliver, I was terrified due to all the complications I had faced. But once again, they rose to the occasion making me feel safe, supported, and cared for. A nurse stayed by my side the entire time during delivery, and I will never forget that. They didn't miss a beat and never played around when it came to my health and my baby's. I am beyond grateful for the compassion, dedication, and professionalism of this team. Thank you for everything. I would 100% recommend this office to anyone especially those with complicated pregnancies. You'll be in the best hands possible. I want to thank EVERYONE in the whole office.

That kind of long-term trust isn't easy to earn, but it's very easy to lose. I arrived at 2:08 PM for a 2:15 appointment and was turned away. Not because I missed the appointment, but because I wasn't 30 minutes early. I had cleared my schedule, sat in traffic for 45 minutes, and still arrived before the scheduled time--and they refused to see me. Their explanation? A strict policy requiring all patients to arrive 30 minutes early, enforced without an ounce of flexibility or compassion. Meanwhile, how many of us have waited 30+ minutes past our appointment time for a doctor with no apology? The double standard is exhausting. I've had other uncomfortable experiences here over the years--impersonal front desk staff, rushed interactions--but the moment I was told I had Hashimoto's disease with no support or follow-up stands out. Just a flat "eat better" and that was that. The only reason I stayed was because of one provider, Pam Manuel-Barone, who brought warmth and real patient care to the office. She's since left--and now I understand why. I don't expect perfection from a doctor's office. But I do expect humanity. This practice has forgotten what patient care is supposed to mean.

The parking is horrible (you have to park in a parking garage, sometimes having to PAY to park). Finding the office is also confusing. I had been given birth control pills since I was 14 years old for heavy and irregular periods. When I turned 18, I opted to get an iud. I wanted the copper IDU because taking the pills made me gain weight and break out. I was HEAVILY pressured to get the mirena hormonal iud. You'd think they were sponsored by them or something with the way they were pushing it on me. They didn't take me seriously and berated me about wanting the copper paragaurd iud. Saying things like "do you not want a hormonal IUD for religious reasons?" Or "the copper IUDs are bigger, most people who get them already have had children" and "I don't recommend this for your age" etc etc. not to mention getting test results took ages. They assured me that the hormones from the Mirena IUD would be "concentrated in my uterus" and I would not break out or gain weight. Well, surprise surprise, I did! And I found out I have unbalanced hormones already, not that they thought to check for that or anything. Also the billing for that was somewhat of a nightmare. My hormonal acne was so bad from mirena IUD I had to go on accutane. So I went back and demanded they put the copper IUD in me instead. Oh, also I got all my IUDs in and out of me without any form of pain relief or anesthesia even OFFERED to me. I was happy with my copper iud until i got an abdominal ultrasound for other medical reasons and they found it was misplaced in my uterus. So I went back to get a new copper iud placed inside of me and they gave me THE SAME treatment. "Are you sure you want this? I recommend the hormonal one!" So frustrating. So I gave in and got the skyla IUD instead because they told me it "has lower hormones". When I tried to bring up getting my tubes tied at 21 years old they gave me harsh judgment and practically laughed in my face, refusing to even entertain the idea (I DO NOT want children and am very confident in that. I have pre existing medical issues that would make pregnancy a nightmare) Well, I'm breaking out again from this IUD!! With a total of 3 IUDs later, I do not trust any of them. I do not trust Dr.Allen. I do not recommend!!!
