This practice was wonderful but things have changed. Long review but read it, it may save you some headaches. The front office and billing is ridiculous. We had to fight with our insurance because they submitted the claims incorrectly. They tried to bill us for co-pays after incorrectly applying the money to outstanding claims and we had to provide our credit card receipts to prove we paid the co-pays at the time of our visits and that they were applied incorrectly to other items. Eventually my wife was refused an appointment because of the outstanding bill that was submitted incorrectly and we are still fighting with the insurance company about. They asked that we 'make a good faith payment' and they would reimburse us. Given that they have been through 3 billing companies in 2 years and have repeatedly applied payments incorrectly, there is no way I was going to trust them with my money. In another incident they refused my appointment because I had a temporary insurance card (my employer had changed providers). In a 3rd I called and asked for copies of my records for a specialist, I had to leave a message. After 2 days of no response I called and was told the following: 1) Fridays and Mondays are really busy and records probably would have called me back Tuesday. 2) By Law they have 10 days to provide the records. I'm not sure who wants to wait 3 days just for a call back from their Doctor's office but I don't and to say they don't need to do better because of the law is pretty poor customer service. I don't see anything changing because the head of the practice's wife is the front office manager and complaints fall on deaf ears. In addition they hard press to sell their teas and were advertising female hormone replacement on a placard on the road in front of the office. It really has become a practice that seems more about the buck than the patient. read more

So disappointing. My daughter suffers from extreme headaches. Not only did the receptionist NEVER say a word to me ( I had to finally tell her I was there for an apt, as I was standing in front of her, but after the doctor tried to treat her and ordered an ultrasound, they called days later and confirmed what they thought. She has hyperthyroidism.Sleeplessness, sweating, severe headaches, and every other symptom.....I asked what we should do? The doctor said no other treatment is necessary. Wtf did we do the ultrasound for? Meanwhile, she has to leave school everyday because of the headaches, and just let stand her job because of it. What exactly is their job? Order tests? Bill insurance? Don't treat patients? Despicable. I really wanted to like them. read more

Don't go here. I walk in to some ladies chatting and I have to say that I have an appointment to get the papers. I get to see a PA since no doctors had an opening in their schedule. The PA was nice, efficient and quick. After I leave is when it goes downhill. I get a letter in the mail saying the insurance I provided is not my primary insurance, even though it's my only one. Unfortunately, my girlfriend had some practice dealing with the billings and insurance lady who was rarely ever there, and she had to make a few calls to get things situated, not once but 3 times. I call my insurance provider, just to make sure everything is good on my side, then call AIM, the billings lady isn't there. The next day, I do get through, and she says that she can run it through again. No word yet, if it has. (this part isn't too important, just odd: I start filling the normal stuff out and then I see a coffee/tea warmer and ask if I can have some, I can, but it was only a sample... I had to buy a cup if I wanted more, most places have complimentary coffee or tea, I dont know, that just seemed odd to me) The main point is it doesn't seem like they have good record handling skills and will keep playing with you and making you call so they can stall. read more

Shame on this office especially the office manager Julie and many Billings contractor they hired. At first they misrepresented that my insurance will coverage part of the visit and I need to only pay $xx to come in to say hi and shake hand with the doc. they call it initial visit.. ( it wasn't a sick visit or well visit). Later realized that hello visit was $350 and my $xx co pay was not enough after insurance kicks in some. I would not have come in if I need to pay $350 when I am well and no issues at that time. Or there are other practices that will meet at well visit to know their patient ( I found many later) then they kept sending me statements with wrong name spelling.. over the course of few months, I send in partial payment via checks and credit card, while waiting my insurance to verify why this amount is valid or could be wrong code submitted etc. but the Billings office didn't post my payment ever. Then they send me a rude letter saying I am not welcome at their office anymore which I don't care but I want to know why was my payment 3 times not posted and yet keep sending me full statements with my payment not recorded. The first and second front person were nice and agreed that their Billings depth was useless bunch. Finally after weeks of leaving many messages with Office manager Julie, she called back but said it was gone to collection after trying to called me several times which were lies . I tried calling billings with front desk and voicemail ( Vm box always full,of course). This business manager was utterly rude and shouldn't be in this business. Anyway, correction said mine was brand new account that wasn't in their system yet and wouldn't be a big deal and would not hit my credit. I happily pay collection knowing they took a chunk of commission from this unethical rude business. Stay away. See the similar stories before this.. read more

I've been looking for a practice just like Advanced Integrative Medicine. One that combines Eastern and Western medicine to achieve better results, while looking at the body as a whole system instead of separate parts. This practice does just that. I see Katie Young (PA) whom I am THRILLED with as a provider. My reason for 4 stars is because the front desk staff can be less than pleasant and take quite awhile to return phone calls. But the actual care was top notch. read more

So frustrated with this medical office! I was a patient for 8 years... I thought that the service was OK, but at times I felt I was more in tune with my medical needs then my doctor. The reason for my one star review is that their billing department made a huge mistake causing my insurance to reject their claims. I was left with a bill to pay personally for over $800, for only a few doctors office visits! Not only did their office not work with me on this, but they canceled me as a client and left me on my own when I needed medications refilled. I also just received another bill, for services and office visits which I had already paid for! I am so glad that I have kept a record of this, because apparently their office has not! Now I get to set aside half of my day to sort out medical bills. I have never had this issue with any other doctors office, and I am so frustrated that I have overspent initially and now I have to continue this battle. read more

I have been going to Katie Young for over 5 years. I have never been pleased with Katie's bedside manner. She is very cold, lacks compassion and has always made me feel like I was an in and out patient. Most recently, I had a flare up from an issue I have had for 10 years and called Katie to see if I could get another blood panel for my own piece of mind to see if there was an underlying condition. My last panel was done through Katie 2 years ago and her assistant called me back and said I would have to see Katie to write a script for the panel. I questioned why I need to pay for an office visit just to obtain the script, then pay for the blood panel visit, then again pay for an office visit to see Katie to go over the results. One week after the conversation with her assistant, I received a certified letter from Katie stating that she was "firing" me from her practice. Why? Because I questioned the reasoning for paying for 3 office visits out of my high deductible plan for blood being drawn that I was the one requesting and is known in my file? I feel like Katie handled the situation in a very unprofessional manner. She never even once contacted me herself to explain or talk about the situation. Again, no bedside manner and obviously cares nothing about her patients. I was told by the office manager that I could stay with the practice but need to see a different doctor. I honestly cannot stay with a practice that is tolerable to an employee treating patients in that regard. I will absolutely not recommend anyone to this practice and moreover to Katie Young as a PA. read more

Dr. Furr is my primary care provider, but I saw Dr. Hepp for an IUD insertion. Dr. Furr has been seeing my family for years and my whole family loves him. He presents lots of options for problems so we don't always have to go straight for a prescription. He also calls us after hours to tell us results for tests, etc. Very great and goes beyond the typical primary care experience! Dr. Hepp is also great. I came in for an IUD consultation and she gave me a pap on the spot and in order to accommodate for my schedule, she came in before the office was open to insert my IUD! She walked me through the whole procedure and told me everything she was doing and made an uncomfortable procedure as comfortable as possible. Definitely recommend! read more

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE ON MEDICARE AS THEY DO NOT WANT YOU! I have a medicare advantage plan but was rudely told by a large staff lady that " We don't take medicare." I advised her that I had insurance to which she rudely stated "Well we don't take any kind of those medicare plans." So I guess that they are to good for Seniors! I switched my primary Doctor from New West Physicians to Dr. Furr. I was very impressed from the start. The staff is very friendly and Dr. Furr was very knowledgeable and personal. He doesn't make me feel like a burden and I never once got the impression that he was just in a hurry to see the next patient. He took time and actually listened to my wife and I and sincerely addresses our questions and concerns. He personally called me to see how I was and to let me know a few test results that were imoprtant. Hands down the best experience with a Dr ever. Thanks Dr. Furr. I have been a patient here for years. Dr. Furr is absolutely wonderful. Takes his time to answer any and all questions, and explains things in a manner that is easy to comprehend. My last visit (and blood work) revealed some changes and actions that needed to be taken. Dr. Furr carefully explained things at the time of the visit, and followed up with a phone call a couple of days later. The entire staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. I'm not a fan of going to the Dr, but Dr. Furr and the entire staff make it much more tolerable!! read more

My husband and I have been seeing Dr Snook (and Jen, his medical assistant), Dr Furr (and Kelly, his medical assistant), and Jodie Gahn, NP for about 10 years. They and their administrative staff are amazing. Not only are they extremely knowledgeable, but they are genuinely caring people. They are versed in western medicine as well as eastern medicine, and they've never pushed us toward one style over the other. They provide us with information, then help us decide a course of action to take. It is wonderful to go to one office that provides acupuncture, bone adjustments, supplements as well as traditional western medicine (blood draws, in-office flu test, prescriptions, etc) The added bonus is that they almost always run on time (please note: I define on-time as within 5 minutes of the appointment time). They are also extremely responsive to prescription refill requests, which we soooo appreciate. Special shout-out to Jen; she's an incredible medical assistant and an even more incredible person (she's also a hoot). read more

As most reviewers have stated, everything was great the first year. Then MAJOR personnel problems rose up. The billing woman is VERY rude and disrespectful. The front office does NOT listen to you even when you think they are being attentive. They create serious problems for people. The PA is absolutely horrible, misdiagnosing or mistreating serious illnesses. She seems to prescribe prednisone a lot for patients. Even some of the non front office staff complain about her. Dr Furr and Dr Hepp are great but if theres a serious issue re: Office , don't expect them to even listen to you or try and help. I would have given the 2 doctors ( not the front office or the PA) 5 stars up until things got nasty quickly. read more

I was extremely unimpressed with the services provided by the nurse practitioner I saw, Donna. I have high cholesterol and requested a lipid panel blood draw. That's it. A couple thousand dollars later, the nurse practitioner ran a bunch of tests on my blood but neglected to even do the lipid panel. Worse, they forced me to pay for all the tests even though I hadn't requested them because the tests were the "standard" done by this nurse practitioner. Beware of hidden charges at this office and a lack of empathy for the patient who trusts their doctor. I won't be going back. read more

Billing nightmare. Did a run around with my insurance company for 3 months, after receiving no help from Advanced Integrative Medicine. Finally found out my visit wasn't covered, when it could have been had it been coded correctly, so I went in to work out the bill. Talked to one lady who I could tell didn't want to listen to me, simply told me they'd charge me as though I didn't have insurance. Not too happy with the lack of effort I consented and paid my bill. What happens 2 weeks later, a bill for the portion that should have been written off. So after 5 calls and two messages left I finally talked to another lady who I had to re-explain the situation to. She had no idea what I was saying, but finally agreed to fix the charges. This might as well be a corporate medical office. Won't be going back. read more

I am not impressed with this office. The physician performed a very quick and non-comprehensive physical. Her listening skills were lacking and she seemed a bit preoccupied. I asked to be updated on a routine vaccination- which she forgot to order and I left without it being performed. She did call to explain a lab that came back abnormal. She wanted me to have it rechecked in 3 months. It has been a bad experience trying to get the office (specifically her nurse, Kim) to put the order in so that I can follow up on the physicians request. It took 4 phone calls before the order was finally put in, and the nurse was not very friendly at all. In the end, a simple request turned complicated. There are better primary care providers out there... I won't be going back to this one. read more

My experience with Advanced Integrative Medical has been quite good. Dr Snook is great as an internal medicine dr and really honors my desire not to take medications. My former dr liked to give drugs, so we did not click. I also like the fact he does acupuncture as well. I've also seen Teresa the nurse practitioner and thought she was very thorough. The patient always needs to be their own advocate. Go in with a list of questions and get them all answered. It is hard to come up with questions on the spot. I often call the insurance company with the labs that are being ordered to make sure they are covered as part of the preventative wellness exam too. It takes more time, but can save money in the long run. Definitely try Dr Snook and Teresa. I bet you have a completely different experience. Good luck. read more

1/21/16 - Things have turned around in the office since earlier in 2015. I actually get to see Dr Hepp, whom I love and has seen me through many medical issues including cancer. She is the one I depend on for understanding what the specialists are doing and is who I rely on to change or suggest anything during course of treatment. read more

WOW I'm really shocked to read all the bad reviews. Maybe the staff has changed since I've started going there. I've had nothing but greatness from this office and their staff. They have bent over backwards to accommodate me and my billing questions. I have to agree Katie Young is just brilliant period! This is the third time to go to this office and walk out thinking, "what just happened?" The medical assistant staff are unfriendly, unwelcoming, and never introduce themselves. The nurse practitioner only lectures, doesn't listen. The physicians assistant didn't do an exam, just gave me a prescription for antibiotics. It's really sad, because if it wasn't for Dr. Jennifer Hepp I would have never returned after the first terrible visit, but after the third terrible visit I just can't continue to accept terrible healthcare. Unfortunately, Dr. Hepp this all reflects on your care. My recommendation, the physicians need to remember their original goals when they started this practice. I highly doubt terrible patient care was a priority. read more
