Unlike every other pain management Dr that assumes you're an addict desperate for prescriptions, and treats you like trash, my wife managed to get an appointment to see Dr Voelker for a consult. (Shame on all the other Drs who would not even see my wife for a consult) Upon meeting Dr. Voelker, he was different in a very good way: he listened to my wife, cared what she was saying, and took her as a new patient. It was like an angel found Dr. Voelker for her. Finally, after several months of hell, and finally getting her pain treated and under control, my wife could finally travel again, see her grandkids, go on cruises, and go back to living. This was all made possible by Dr. Voelker. The care and attention my wife got from him and his team has been outstanding. Dr. Voelker is not only an excellent doctor, he is a caring and sincere person too. Sadly, we are in the process of moving out of state and will now have to find a new doctor for my wife. We are going to miss Dr. Voelker and his entire staff. Thank you for the excellent care you gave my wife and to help her go back to enjoying life again. People need to be aware that the FTC Guidelines under the Eyeglass Rule specify that prescriptions for eyeglasses are required to be given to the patient right after their refraction (vision exam). They are NOT allowed to charge extra for it. Please search "Eyeglass rule" on line and read the rules. The fine per violation is $50,000 so this is taken seriously. People are unaware of this. They had the audacity to charge over $200 for an eye exam (which can be had elsewhere for a third of the price) and then say the prescription was extra. This is wrong and illegal. If you have paid extra for an eyeglass prescription anywhere, that office charged illegally.

I called 2-3 times a week asking about cancellations to get in sooner. No luck. When I saw Dr. L, and told him about the sudden hearing loss, he responded 'Well, if you had come in right away, I probably could have helped you! He also said he can't control what the appointment staff tells patients. He said the only thing he could do was give me shots in my ear which didn't help. I have been going to Dr Torres-Olsen for two years. I have never had a provider who will listen to what you have to say. Monica who is awesome taking care of getting you checked in and makes sure the referrals, x-rays ordered and so much more. I…read morehad a question about the dosage of eye drops I was prescribed, and while the doctor provided clear verbal instructions for the first and second weeks, the written instructions I received with the medication were significantly different. When I called the office for clarification, I was transferred to the dispensary but ended up on an answering machine. Upon calling back, the receptionist was rude and dismissive, taking my name and number with an unfriendly tone and promising a callback. I did get a callback, but the lack of professionalism and poor customer service I received from this office has left me unwilling to return. I would seek out a more accommodating and respectful practice for my eye care.
