I've been going to her for my annual exams and paps for 18 years. Now that I'm in menopause, she has become my go-to for hormonal care as well, patiently explaining and giving me options along this journey. I've never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room -- or in the exam room. At the front desk, Angela and Lisa are bright lights to my day. It wasn't 'Is this a good time to talk?' or "We'd like you to come back in to talk about your ultrasound.' No, this nurse said, "Looks like you've got PCOS. Did you want OTC meds, or...?' No explanations about my diagnosis, no discussion of options, no request for a follow-up visit, no advice, nothing. It was unbelievably uncaring and unprofessional. When I said I would be leaving their practice, she cheerfully said, 'Okay! Let us know if you need any of your labs or anything!' Just beyond uncompassionate. I called back and asked what audacity they would have to give a life changing diagnosis like PCOS in such a way and the receptionist doubled down and refused to give even the most basic of apologies for how this was handled. ~They leave pap smear test equipment sitting out in the open air in exam rooms for waiting patients to contemplate and cough on. ~The doctor had me change clothes before speaking with me, so I had to sit braless for 30 minutes while waiting and going over my new patient medical history and problems with the doctor. I know a lot of women don't mind this, but for me I did not at all like sitting on a high table above the doctor with no bra or underwear and chatting. ~I called on day 21 of my cycle and asked for my blood hormones to be run. I was in the middle of an expensive DUTCH test and wanted a complete picture of what was going on in my cycle. The doctor outright REFUSED, saying she "didn't believe in that test". I called back and asked again, giving more information that another one of my doctors wanted the results as well and that my insurance would definitely cover it. The assistant said she would call back, but the second request went ignored altogether and I never heard from them. ~At the time of writing, the décor and furniture in this office are terribly outdated and run down. It was like stepping into an early 90s time warp and it did not inspire confidence. The doctors and staff at this office really made a difficult situation worse for me and I hope that they will do better for their future patients.

She was so rough, so aggressive and brutal with the breast exam and even more damaging with the manual pelvic exam because I have a bladder prolapse, which she knew about. SO, she just made it worse, now I'm peeing in my pants and I wasn't before. I also got a UTI from the exam. I have not had a UTI fro 45 years, I never get them. Because of her insane pressure on my pelvic area caused the normal bacteria from my urethra into my bladder, which isn't a good thing. I have gone to two other doctors since trying to help me with the new problems she caused. I've missed work and I cannot exercise, and I'm on antibiotics...thanks "Dr." Hentz...I was fine before I walked into this office. DO NOT WALK INTO THIS OFFICE.

She asked me to wait because they want my bladder full. After 15 minutes, she decided to let me go to the restroom. I had to empty my bladder again for the sonogram tech mid-sonogram because she was pressing so hard. The tech asked me to relax my stomach muscles, to which I replied "if I relax, I'll pee myself". The tech would not let me hear the heartbeat for one. I asked twice and each time they ignored me. Also, I had to sign a waiver that states I cannot take any photo or video while I'm in the room. I refused to sign it, to which the receptionist said I had to. I am a military spouse and have Tricare. My friend, who has the same insurance as I do, sees a different doctor in Wilmington and had all of her fees covered. Here, my fees are not completely covered by insurance. This doesn't make any sense. I understand there are codes involved. Neither of us are high risk or have medical history issues that would change that. The atmosphere is not welcoming and I felt like a number, not a patient.
