But after a week, I had not heard anything regarding the results or whether an MRI would be needed. I ultimately had to call the office myself to get an update. While the staff was helpful when I reached out, I was disappointed by the lack of proactive communication. Sure, Doctor Parameswaran is great. Very attentive, very thorough. He performed septoplasty and turbinate reduction for me, but, before hand, I had my initial visit, my follow up consult, then my prep-appointment. Afterwards I had two follow up appointments. The surgery went well and exactly as described. The thing that's most noteworthy, though, is the professionalism of the entire office. Dr. Para himself is very well spoken and, as previously mentioned, thorough. Listens to your questions attentively without a trace of doctorly condescension, and answers them knowledgeably and precisely. Excellent beside manner! Also had Dr. Johnson conduct my hearing test and fit me for custom hearing protection. Again, excellent manner, thorough, helpful, courteous: just plain neighborly! But, the visit starts at the front desk, and Gina and Jade are the very best: friendly, engaging, helpful and experienced when it comes to the insurance companies and the "dance" often required, and patient when you're "checking your calendar," or trying to find your lost insurance card in your bottomless purse or your 2-feet-thick wallet. I seriously love the practice so much that I'm bummed they're specialists and I don't see them often - I'd rather they be my general practitioners so I could see them a few times a year.
