I requested to transfer my care to another physician within the office because I felt my provider, Dr. Sarah Knowlton, was disengaged. I was told this was not permitted due to office policy. When I asked the Office Manager, Danielle Fritz, whether my only options were to continue seeing a physician I was unhappy with or leave the practice, the answer was, "in so many words, yes." I felt the office manager was more focused on facilitating my departure from the practice, Rather than working to address and resolve my concerns. Be prepared to do your own research and advocate for yourself. Patients deserve to be heard, respected, and treated with compassion. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

Think twice before going to this Dr. for cardiac issues. I had an appointment for my annual…read morecardiac visit which should have included ekg. I was called back to the patient room at 10:00 a.m. and the medical assistant took my blood pressure, checked all my records, and said the Dr. would be in shortly. At 11:30 no one had come in the room. I had to keep waving a motion for the lights to come back on the room. I went up to the front desk to find everyone standing around. I asked if I was going to be seen any time soon. They all looked at me with a stare of shock. I said, "I have been in the room for 1 1/2 hours." Shortly after, the medical assistant came in and said, "Your appointment was 11:15." I said, "No, it was 10:00 and I had many calls and texts for appointment reminders and if it was for 11:15, why did you take me to the patient room at 10:00?" He walked out. The Doctor came in and said, "I apologize for the mix-up. How are your legs?" I said, "I'm here for an annual cardiac appointment." He said, "If you need a medical clearance, I'd be happy to write you one." I said, "How can you write me a clearance if you haven't evaluated me? I do not need one, but, how can you do this? I am here for my annual." He said, "Are you having chest pain or concerns? I can get you an ekg and ultrasound scheduled for another day, no one is available right now. I won't charge you for this appointment." Well, my insurance was charged and I just received a late notice invoice. I would think twice before you go to Panchel. He is all about vein treatment now and not so much cardiac.

Check in was smooth and painless as they had already prepared me with screenings, paperwork, and copays, so everything up front went off without a hitch. And so did my move to the back. Once again, this clinic comes through when it is needed! As a parent, knowing this tried and true,…read morehigh quality urgent care is available for my child is invaluable. When your kid is really sick after hours or on the weekend, the last thing you want to have to think about is... where do I go? The answer is: here. I drive out of my way to get here, because it is completely worth it. Legacy Place is undergoing construction, so this might seem difficult to find, but do not despair, it is open. There is free, easy garage parking directly across from the clinic, a few steps away from the front door. The front door kind of looks like the back door because it faces that garage, but it actually makes a kind of private entrance that is not along the walkway where the other stores are. A nice security person opened the door to let us in. This clinic is for children only, so there is no exposure to sick adults. The waiting room is child friendly, as is the TV content, so my kid feels very comfortable. We recently were seen by an incredibly compassionate wonderful nurse who spoke directly to my son in a very child friendly way that he responded to so well. I felt so confident with her mannerisms and expertise. Followed up by a visit from a doctor who was also very real yet friendly. I love being in a child-centric space all over the building. After the visit was over, our nurse gave my son 2 coins to be able to use the toy machine before exiting. He loves the toy he receives and is currently asking when we can go back to the doctor! Thank you to the friendly staff at the front desk, our awesome nurse and doctor. A 24-hour CVS is nearby on Military, and it is easy to pickup late night prescriptions here.
