They are consistently fair in pricing and always willing to go above and beyond for their customers. For example, they've fixed automatic windows for me, at no cost, gotten me in with an emergency even when they have a full day's work, and even come to get me when I didn't have a ride to pick up my car. The transmission work they did for me recently was amazing - the old car feels and runs like a new car. I can't say enough good things about Morgan and his team at Murray. I was an hour and a half from home and I called a few local parts stores. The people at the Car Quest on West Broad Street in Short Pump came to my car, checked to see what parts were needed, went back to the store, and came back with the part. Alan (spelling?) went out of his way to help me, by putting the part on the car for me and explaining what he did and why. This was not something that the company normally does, to my knowledge, but it was so kind. It was myself and two other young ladies (daughter and granddaughter), we were in a though situation being so far from home, but Alan and the people of Car Quest really did a good deed and went out of their way to help! I offered to pay him for fixing it right there, but he refused to take any money and I was only charged for the part. I wish I could do something to show my appreciation to Alan, so I thought writing a review would be a good idea. Thank you Alan and the managers/workers at CarQuest in Short Pump. You good deed and it did not go unnoticed! I will certainly pass it on!

You know sometimes we get exceptional service so many times that we take it for granted. Becomes…read morethe norm, you might say. A business model you could infer. But on the evening of March 22, 2025 I was the recipient of exceptional, very exceptional service. Lazy Saturday it was until my teenager made the distress call- car not starting. Drove to her location and jump started her car then drove straight to Advanced Auto - short pump. Exceptional patient understanding service is what I received as I explained the situation. Team member was responsive enough to provide me with a much better battery than the.one.in.the vehicle. And the AA team was just beginning. I was in for a real treat when Mr Carroll wheeled out his tool cart and got to the new battery installation. I have been on several ends of auto personnel treatment- mostly different when i am with a 2024 year vehicle than with an older vehicle. As a matter of fact, in another automobile workshop I was told, boldfaced and all, that nothing could be done for my older vehicle. A statement I would file away as I, carefully, stayed clear of that shop - with the newer vehicles and same older vehicle they'd written off. 7years after that remark, the vehicle is still running okay. So Mr Carroll installed this battery meticulously. Not just dumping it in but carefully tightening the terminals, ensuring snug fitting, applying anti-corrosives and yes wait for it...ensuring that there was no red battery light on the dashboard after installation. Thank you team AA short pump. Thank you for being consumate professionals. This evening, by your unplanned actions, I have passed the AA baton to my teenage daughter. You have a new customer.

Purchased a Die Hard Battery 750 cranking amps in May 2022 for my 2002 Mitsubishi Montero. Battery…read moreperformed well until yesterday June 3, 2022, it would barely turn the engine over so I put my tester/charger on the battery and charged it for hours until it finished it's cycle and threw an FO3 Code (bad cell.) I talked with a young guy with a short beard who came out and put their beat to hell scanner on my battery, he basically ordered me to get into my car and start it, run the motor at 1500-2000 rpm then let it idle, turn on high beams, turn AC on high, turn off the motor. Rude, rude, rude! He handed me a print out from the scanner that said the charging system was fine, however he said it was not. I followed him in the store where he talked to an older guy behind the counter, who I overheard say that I needed to "learn to listen." I approached and said to him, if my battery did not have a defective cell it would have taken a charge. He reluctantly said he would replace it this time but never again. He took a black sharpie and wrote on the replacement battery receipt "NO RETURN." FYI a full charged battery at rest should read 12.75 volts. I have been a loyal customer of this store ever since it opened. You have lost me to "The Auto Zone" at Cosby Village where they treat people with respect and kindness. No the customer is not always right, but in this case I was 100% correct. To these rude men, I have turned more than a few wrenches in my 72 years!
