Our second parent adoption was so painless and quick and easy that I was so shocked when I got the email that everything was complete and finalized. We were referred to AdoptHelp from a friend who also used them. First we had an introduction phone call then everything was done through email and took about 6 weeks. It was super smooth and no hiccups. The team at AdoptHelp was super responsive and I am so thankful we found them. read more

AdoptHelp - Our finalized adoption! - Adoption Services Near Me - Los Angeles, California

We were referred to AdoptHelp by a few friends who had successfully adopted before us. Having a network of other adopting parents was probably one of the best resources because you had others you could ask questions of and level set expectations. We had interviewed a few other agencies before settling on AdoptHelp. To start- AdoptHelp is has one of the largest reaches when it comes to getting Adoptive Parents out there and in front of birth moms. They partner with other agencies and groups to help find the best matches. I like that they limit the # of parents that they work with and do not over extend their efforts. Don't get me wrong, the whole process is expensive and anyone considering going down this road need to consider that requires a lot of effort-- time, mentally, emotionally, and expenese. But it's all worth it because they will be by your side until you either adopt your child OR choose to end your journey. There are lot of other agencies that feel very 'for-profit' when Adopt Help's team and lawyers focus on meeting the needs of their current parent base. They guide you along the way to ensure you have the right tools and options that meet your needs. The team was always responsive when I had questions. During the inevitable waiting to get matched period-- I appreciated the monthly updates to see how many mothers were were presented to. We were actually chosen twice and we voiced our concerns about the first match and we did not feel pressured from AdoptHelp to reciprocate. I appreciated Gabby and Olga's candor and experience. When we finally matched with our birth mother, Gabby, was available at all times of day to answer our questions. From the time we were chosen, to match, to the birth of our son was about 8 days. Adopthelp sought out and provided as much background information as they could to help us make an informed decision, and we were given pointers on how to talk to the birth mother, understanding that it is a very emotional time for all parties involved. Once we officially matched, they were quick to help us find local lawyers to process paperwork. Our son was born a day earlier than expected, and they were on top of finding us notaries and social workers to ensure the process was smooth. Granted, every adoption is going to be different. We cannot be happier with ours and we elected to stay in contact with our son's birth mom. Adopthelp processed our finalization without any issue and has helped us with any and all follow up questions. read more

AdoptHelp made our dreams come true! We had a long and difficult adoption journey and made the decision after a couple years of waiting to seek out an additional adoption outreach organization and settled on AdoptHelp. One of the things we appreciated most about them was how willing they were to make us feel heard and to address our needs. We were initially paired with an outreach specialist who wasn't a good fit for us, and so when we notified them of that, Mark understood and paired us with someone who was a better fit for us. Once they matched us with our son's birthmother, they were there for us every step of the way. And every step of the way was complex, so we needed all the help we could get. Our son was born out of state in the very beginning of the pandemic, which was incredibly stressful and complicated, but AdoptHelp held our hands and were a source of constant support through the entire experience. As a beautiful final touch, Mark showed up at our adoption finalization (more than a year after he was born) and helped set the tone for a beautiful finalization. Just thinking about the experience makes me well up with tears of gratitude for their help making our dreams come true. We will be forever grateful to them. Thank you AdoptHelp! read more

Honesty, patience, clear communication, timeliness in responses to questions...I could gush for paragraphs about how refreshing it is to deal with people who clearly care more for their clients than they do about themselves. Truly doing good in the world is a rare enough thing. The Adopthelp team made our dreams come true and the very involved process was met at each point with professionalism, courtesy, and compassion. If we adopt another child there is no doubt who we're going through. Bummer yelp only lets you use 5 stars, they're 100/5. read more

AdoptHelp is by far the best agency you can go through as a birth mother. My caseworker was Nicole, and the things I could say about this woman!!! She was incredible!! So supportive and caring and to this day still keeps in touch with me. She truly has become a part of the family she helped all of us put together. My experience was absolutely wonderful and I found the most loving family to place my daughter with. I wouldnt have changed a thing. To say theyre amazing is an understatement!! I cannot imagine placing another baby through anybody but adopthelp!!! read more

I very rarely write reviews for companies, but when it comes to building my family I thought it was important. My wife and I have a adopted 2 babies through this firm and they were incredibly easy to work with. For our first it was about a 1 year wait, but every month they kept us in the loop and we never felt forgotten. I would (and have) recommend family and friends to adopt through this firm. read more

So happy we found AdoptHelp. When my partner and I started interviewing agencies we immediately impressed with how organized and informative AdoptHelp was. Two things were really important to us in our search/decision: 1) caring support for the birthmothers, and 2) full transparency in cost/spend. Both were addressed from the very beginning. Each touch-point throughout the process was superb - from how our money is being spent on marketing, to setting up our first meeting with our birth-mother. We even had a hiccup on our baby-girl's day of birth that required a lawyer and they jumped right in. Is it a tad bit more expensive than other agencies? Sure. But it's worth it for their expertise, caring staff, and relationship with other local agencies/lawyers across the country. Adoption is a huge decision (on both sides) and I'd recommend AdoptHelp to any friend of family member. read more

Hi I'm a birth mother of adopt help and I just wanted to share my story and journey with this agency. I see there's not many birth mothers reviews on here and my story is so amazing I think all birth mothers considering adoption should know how great it was for me and my fiancé. So here we go.. I was 4 months pregnant when I decided to look into adoption, I did a simple google search and this was what popped up. I had expected to check out a few agencies before tying down to one, but as soon as I called I was sent paperwork, pamphlets and wonderful stories through fed ex overnight. I still wasn't sure if this is what I wanted to do for sure, I went through the paperwork, turned it in, and read the stories I was sent. I was immediately contacted by a wonderful woman named Kathryn and sent profiles of amazing families looking for a missing piece in their lives. It took me awhile to look through the families, my fiancé and I went through them several times and was not rushed by the agency one bit. I never did another Google search for another agency, I knew if this is what we decided on, this would be the agency to help do so. It took us about a month to get back to Kathryn and tell her who we had wanted to "interview" I guess you'd say. She immediately contacted the family and had us a phone call scheduled later that week with them. It was very awkward of course.. Didn't know exactly what to say besides share our concerns of having a 3rd child at 25 and 26 years old.. With our other two being under the age of 4. We expressed our concerns, our feelings, our beliefs, and our backgrounds. We felt an instant connection with the family we had chose and sweet Kathryn matched us and also suggested the family come visit us. They came to visit and still, the connection was unbelievable and the family was beautiful. We constantly stayed in touch over the pregnancy and grew a great relationship. Kathryn was always there for us and was so supportive it really helped us along. I gave birth to a beautiful little girl last week and the adoptive mother fought her way to me through cancelled flights, delayed flights.. And a long taxi ride just to be there when she was born. They had been in the agency for 3 years and I am so happy to be able to give them such a gift. It is hard for me and her father of course, but we chose open adoption and so far the adoptive parents have been amazing with updates and pictures and checking on us. We already have a visit set up to see them all again. For something so hard and emotional adopt help has been amazing and we found the perfect path to this adoption thanks to them. I never thought this process could've went this smooth, considering all the emotions and ups and downs that comes along with it but in the end we are happy with our decision and know it was best for not only the baby, but my babies, and the wonderful family we made happy. -Maxine (birth mother) Chris (biological father, who stood by my side) Just a quick update. The family I adopted to are still communicating and amazing. I got pregnant again due to insurance issues with my birth control and asked if they wanted a little boy? They took some time but declined but helped me pick another family for my son. Not only is the second family just as awesome but both families have let my two babies meet! They are full brother and sister and I can't tell you how amazing they both are. read more

Wait times for us were longer than advertised by the agency and discussed at the beginning of the process. We waited for 20 months. You do receive a monthly status from the agency which provides you with the number of birth mothers that reviewed your profile for that particular month. Once we were matched, the process was quick and smooth. Things were handled professionally. We are the parents of a healthy little girl which makes every frustrating month of waiting so worth it. read more

My Wife and I recently went through Adopthelp. My Husband and I had a beautiful baby girl in June of 2024. The moment my husband and I got off the airplane and arrived in Los Angeles Adopthelp were there for us. Adopthelp help had open arms to my husband and I like they knew us for years. It was heartwarming to us. So the first time in a long time to my husband and I we had someone who really cared about our wellbeing. Apotehelp goes out of their way for you, we had everything we needed from housing to doctors to anything in between. Adopthelp took the time to explain the process the whole adoption would be like. What my husband and I was so happy about was how they took their time to make sure we had the right adapted parents to what we were look for for our daughter. To be honest my husband and I was so picky on this part, but they took whatever time needed to make sure my husband and I were satisfied and that showed us how my patience they have. My next question was when can my husband and I meet the adoptive parents. What got us was their response back was whenever we feel comfortable with. From the moment my husband and I got off that airplane to the birth of your child Adopthelp will be right by your side and will consider you as family instead of another client. In between the the time you are waiting for your child to be born they help you be successful here in Los Angeles. I went from being scared and not knowing what will be next to having a good job and having an apartment thanks to Adopthelp considering my husband and I as family instead of just a client. I know it is very scary for some of you women out there but I can tell you this Adopthelp will make sure that you don't feel alone in the Adoption process. My husband and I personally want to say Thank You from the bottom of our hearts to Adopthelp for being right by our side, and considering us as family. read more

Amazing service start to finish. We felt so comfortable after our conversation with Mark that we signed on immediately. From our original case manager to Gabby Remole who carried us through the match, everyone was professional, kind, and inspired complete confidence in our decision to pursue adoption. We highly recommend this agency if you decide to adopt. As my partner said "they're in it to win it." read more

I began my official adoption journey in August of 2014 and found AdoptHelp by a Google search. As a single parent in my 40's, I had been either turned away or turned off by a number of other agencies and firms. I remained persistent in my search and came across AdoptHelp and sent an email describing my desire to adopt. Nearly immediately I received an email from Kathryn saying,"We work with all kinds of families." I knew then that this was the agency for me. My profile became active in October of 2014 and after Kathryn and Mark answered no less than a multitude of questions from me with professionalism, grace, respect, patience and care, I got the call I had been waiting for. It was both Mark and Kathryn on the phone, telling me that a somewhat unusual situation had presented itself ... and a birth mother had chosen me to to become the parent of her twins, who were born earlier that same day! I had so many stages of intellectual, emotional and practical growth along this journey, and Mark and Kathryn as well as the whole AdoptHelp family were nothing but supportive all along the way. I've since recommended AdoptHelp to no less than a dozen people who have been looking to grow their families through the gift of adoption. I recommend them with all the confidence in the world! read more

Eight years ago we used this company and it was a very good experience for my husband and I as well as the birth mother. We made sure she was well cared for, respected and her needs were met. The hard part is not knowing the exact outcome until it's over or what all the expenses will be. It was stressful to say the least however I can't imagine a better outcome. I will always hold a special place in my heart for these people and our birth mother. read more

We can't thank adopt help enough. Everyone here is professional and helpful. We were able to go in and meet all the staff personally during our initial consultation and we knew from the beginning that this was the right decision for our family... Mark and Jen both took the time to answer all our questions openly and truthfully so we were not misled in anyway. They truly take a vested interest in you as individuals which we could tell from the moment we spoke to them. Our birth mother was treated with dignity and respect as well, and this is just another reason why we would so highly recommend adopt help! Thank you all again! read more

My husband and I have been with AdoptHelp for almost a year, and while we're still waiting to match, we're very happy with our experience. I was recently in Southern California and made an appointment to visit AdoptHelp's office, and I had the opportunity to meet just about everybody on staff. I was especially pleased to meet Mark, Kathryn, and Jen in person - the three people with whom I've worked so far. They answered all of my questions, helped open up more of our filters, and gave practical advice about ways to improve our profile (we've since placed a new profile order with a brighter look overall). Of course the wait is tough, but in comparison to wait times at other agencies, AdoptHelp's average seems much faster. But equally important is that I have full confidence in this agency, and I know they are making the best possible matches for birth parents and adoptive parents alike. read more

I don't usually write reviews on Yelp. That said, I felt pretty passionately about what had happened and needed to put pen to paper. In this case, I can't thank AdoptHelp enough. My wife and I, for being on the younger side, had a tough infertility journey that lasted 4 years. We were both pretty emotionally strained and at the end of hope, when we turned to the idea of adoption to create a family. We first sat through a few agency seminars, which almost made things worse by adding confusion, uncertainty, a laundry list of requirements that never seemed to end, and a question mark of a timeline. For two normal hard-working folks like my wife and I, the fact that we couldn't control the situation by trying harder or learning something new, made things even worse. We finally stumbled upon AdoptHelp via some casually Googling one night, and setup a call with Mark the following week. After talking to Mark, and understanding how he works with parents to be like us, how he sources and then works/supports birth mothers, how he matches the two, and then how they handle everything related to the courts/adoption process, it was clear he understood his business and the stress involved on all parties. We were officially a profile on the site by the end of March. We set it up, and focused on having the best year of our lives. Then to our surprise, 8 weeks later, we got the call. We had been chosen by a birth mother and father, who were delivering that night. We hopped in our car and drove overnight to LA. Olga/Lisa and the AdoptHelp Team set everything up. When we got to the hospital at 7am, we were immediately ushered into the nursey to meet our new 3-hour old son, who was gently sleeping. Two days later we were discharged from the hospital and brought the baby to the AdoptHelp offices to finalize paperwork. From there, the Team over-communicated on everything, always keeping us abreast on next steps in the process. Steve (Legal) picked up the torch of our case and guided us through to the final ceremony, without us ever filing anything (he did it all), or even having to go into court. We chose to go to court on the final award date to make it a celebration. The entire team was extremely professional, empathetic and helpful, and for that our new family cannot thank them enough. read more

We are a two-time AdoptHelp family. AdoptHelp has played such an important role in shaping our family and we are so grateful! Through AdoptHelp, we adopted our first son in 2014 and our second son in 2018. Mia was our caseworker for both adoptions and she sort of feels like family to us now. We could not think more highly of her. She is seriously so sweet and kind and professional. She was always very responsive and timely in her responses. And especially once we matched with our sons' birthmothers, and labor was imminent, she went above and beyond what we would've ever expected in terms of communication, etc. She genuinely cares! But perhaps more importantly, both of our sons' birth mothers also loved Mia and specifically commented to us about how helpful and respectful she was to them. And for that, we will always especially be thankful. Mia was always there to answer our questions and she was rooting for us through all of the highs and lows that can come with the adoption process. The adoption process for each of our sons looked very different. We were holding our oldest son only 30 days after we first became an active family with AdoptHelp in 2014. With our second son, we had been an active family for a little over a year when he was born. With our second adoption, we experienced a handful of bumps/ "failed" placements along the way--all of which were emotionally and financially devastating at the time, but ended up becoming an integral part of the path that led us to our son. Everything happens for a reason. It is just good to always be prepared for the unexpected in adoption. But Mia and everybody at AdoptHelp (we also worked with Nicole and Jen at different times and they were also great!) were there for us through all of it. And we are forever thankful for the role they played in growing our family. read more

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with AdoptHelp. Their staff is caring, transparent, accessible, and a joy to work with. Our son's mother was pleased with the support that they provided to her before, during, and after the adoption process. Domestic adoptions have declined in the US for a number of reasons, so having an agency with a nationwide reach is a significant advantage. AdoptHelp's advertising strategy ensures that it is one of the first agencies to appear in Internet searches, which was a key factor in our being matched with our son's mother. AdoptHelp was essential in building our family, and they have our highest recommendation. read more

Mark Goldman and his staff are professional, cutting edge, fair, sensitive and caring. My experience with them was wonderful. I came to Adopt Help after an incredibly poor experience with an unethical, dishonest and ruthless Santa Monica adoption attorney. I wish there were more than 5 stars to give. We will forever be indebted to Adopthelp for our beautiful family. Having done two adoptions with them and both very different experiences, never once were we disappointed with how they managed a situation. Not only were they always available to discuss any concern we might have about the process but they thoughtfully, thoroughly, and honestly explained the process so we knew all possible outcomes of a situation - some good and some bad- but that is the nature of adoption. Their passion and dedication to help build families is clearly demonstrated in everything they do and their knowledge about how adoption works across the US is beyond reproach. We were never left to do anything on our own or figure anything out on our own, Adopthelp guided us through the process in 2 other states. For our 2nd adoption, we literally moved so we could work with them because our 1st experience was so amazing. During our second adoption, equally amazing, although very different, the same attention and expertise was always present. Having at least 4 friends who have adopted around the same time as us, no one had as positive an experience about the process as we did. Realistically, adoption is a stressful but I cannot imagine that there is anyone, anywhere more dedicated, knowledgeable, or caring for both the birth parents and the adoptive parents than the Team at Adopthelp. read more

I can't say enough good things about AdoptHelp. Everyone that works there is incredibly supportive and helpful. My wife and I matched with the most wonderful birth parents we could have imagined around Sept of 2015. We are now parents raising a beautiful baby boy. I think it took 1 year 8 months to match - about what they estimate (1 1/2 years) given our filters. The hardest thing is to wait. You get updates about how many birth mothers you are presented to, and if you were second choice with any. I really don't mind the low contact during this phase, AdoptHelp's most important job is to connect with birthmothers, but like I said, it is hard to wait. About 1 year 3 months in, we tried to widen our outreach by working with a local adoption facilitator. This did not work out. The facilitator has made many fine matches, and we talked with people who had had success with them, but overall I got the sense that the adoptions were more expensive and there were more failures. We matched with someone right away with the facilitator but the match fell through - it was emotionally hard and cost 10k (given how far it progressed). When we did match through AdoptHelp, I was amazed at how good a match it was. While waiting, I got more concerned about our profile, was it too honest, too specific? Should we have tried to figure out what the typical birth mother wants to hear? When we finally matched though, I was amazed at how much we had in common with the birth parents, and how fun those quirky specific things were and how they helped the match. We feel very lucky and blessed. read more
