He is not free, and not Walmart shopping, but no attorney is. I have used his office for rental issues, land issues, property purchase, and incorporation. He also handles very complex big projects and developments and I think he has been doing that for about 30 years. I see a one star review here on Yelp complaining that this office doesn't call back or get back to you. I have not had that experience and I have been calling since 2008. However, I believe, in 2017 a partner retired and there was a big reorganization of the office. Maybe that was the issue. Unfortunately, many attorneys need to work on their prompt call backs.

I called the office and was told I would hear back. I never did. That's just unprofessional. There are enough lawyers that I don't have to chase one down so I won't.

When I came to Lisa Werner to retain her as my pre-nuptial lawyer, I was the underdog in need of a…read morelawyer who would advocate for me while I fought this uphill battle. Through her quick responses and strategic solutions, Lisa proved that she was in my corner both professionally and personally. She took my case seriously from the beginning, thoroughly reviewing every aspect of the agreement in order to provide the best legal advice. She was willing to work through many different approaches and invent creative solutions to the stipulations. Her ingenuity allowed me the opportunity to accrue my own wealth separately from my husband and his corporation, proving that she cared about my future well-being beyond our current lawyer/client transaction. Not only did she offer sound legal advice, she also offered personal advice to guide me through the pre-nup process. She helped me see my relationship through a different perspective by allowing me to focus on my own goals and desires while still keeping my intended marriage equal and intact. I would highly recommend Lisa to any client, as my case is a testament to the fact that she is an efficient, caring, and strategic lawyer that will give you the time and attention you need to achieve your goals.

My husband and I have full custody of his son. However we seeked out the help of Robert Backus to…read morefight for supervises visits while the child was in the care of his biological mother due to safety concerns. Robert is a very nice man. However his attorney services were so poor my husband and I could cry. Throughout the course of it all I sent him every photo, document, and supplied him with all of the information he would need for court. Yet were charged hundreds of dollars for him just to receive and view the photos (which he MESSED up several times in court). My mom and husbands father were testifying to things they had seen. Rob told us in a meeting he'd reach out to both of them to consult. He never did AND as they were on the stand he asked my mom the question he was supposed to ask his father. Another time the judge asked if there was any abuse (THE REASON WE WERE IN COURT) and I'm on the stand shaking my head yes to Rob and he says nothing further and sits down. He seemed preoccupied, unfocused, and unorganized the ENTIRE time. When we got the bill it was so disappointing. We made it VERY CLEAR during our initial meeting that if we were to come close to reaching our retainer max that we be told and made aware so that we could decide whether to hold off or try to come up with more money. Well after court was done the secretary, Alexandra, informed me we owed an additional $1,500. I was so frustrated. I was being charged hundreds and hundreds of dollars for Rob to email me a few times to organize a meeting and for him to call the Sheriffs Dept to check the status of a serving. While "politically correct" the secretary was unhelpful and brushed off my concerns. She's probably have been a better lawyer for us. I will never use Rob, this office nor recommend them to ANYONE.

The judge quickly threw the case out once we had a hearing because of his extensive knowledge and expertise in this matter. He made a very good case. He was very kind, helpful, and confident and quickly got back to me when I had questions or concerns. I had plenty of questions and concerns and his replies were right to the point with comforting overtones which really helped my state of mind in these challenging times. Life is hard enough without having to worry about police injustice so it's good to know someone will go to bat for you when injustice strikes. He was also reasonably priced which just puts the icing on the cake. I would certainly hire him again if I ever had to!

Attorney Paul Morwood represented me in traffic court today. After reading the Vermont laws I…read morewasn't entirely sure I was innocent or not, but Mr. Morwood told me not to worry. Well it turns out I was NOT guilty according to the written law. Not only was I surprised, but so was the officer and Judge! My traffic citation was tossed out, and the officer was not too pleased. But I'm pleased because justice was served! There are two lessons I learned today: Not all DMV law enforcement officers know or understand the written law, and to call Attorney Paul Morwood if I get another traffic citation. Thank you very much Mr. Morwood, -Angelo
