I am a very difficult stick when it comes to IV and truthfully I worry more about the nurses gaining access then the procedure itself. The nurses are true angels! I've been amazed that on occasion a few were able to tap in on the first try. It took 11 minutes for the shot to be administered and my sister said there was virtually no pain. She was nervous going in, as almost everyone she had talked to about the procedure said it is painful and uncomfortable. Her Doctor and assistants were incredible! Could not be more impressed!

However, Every time I have come here, including today, the physician will give me a run around with no actual explanation of what's wrong, then tell me I need to go to the E.R. Mostly because they don't do any type of labs or tests here, so if your issue requires that you might as well skip the extra bill and waste of time. The actual physician seemed annoyed in her tone, and seriously lacked bedside manner. All she said to me was " well I can't do tests here" "so you need to just go to the E.R since I'm not sure what's wrong with you and you don't have a history of any related issues " I try to avoid clogging up the ER when it isn't an actual emergency, so of course this is frustrating when you can't get into your primary care provider either. Probably will stick to Hawthorn if I ever need urgent care in the future.

Dr. Yolanda Troublefield is an amazing Doctor and human being. My grandson and me were impressed by how much thorough she examined him, even the MRI we provided her. Her questions made us feel she was treating more than a patient a human being. At the end she prescribed him an OTC Nasal Gel and referred him to an Allergy/Immunologist, waiting for Allergy Test to guide her to a diagnosis. Her staff is awesome, kind and quick to overcome any obstacle. They even made the appointment for Allergy Doctor. We strongly recommend this practice.

While Quest this morning was empty they had to send me to the third floor because "they are not being sent anyone's lab requests". I needed a fasting blood work and I arrived upstairs at 7:20. Feeling like I'm at a clam shack I take number 96. They are just calling 77!! If I wait I'll be late for work and if I come back I won't be able to eat until after 2pm. I had to go. Lady I. The elevator tells me she arrived before 630 and was number one!! And she says that they only have two phlebotomy staff and are no longer open on weekends unless you want to drive to Providence. Hawthorne has gone downhill. My PCP left, the entire staff of my ENT left. It's a patients nightmare. Shame on Brown.
