The office is well run and efficient, the service is way beyond what I have experienced anywhere else and the Dentist is amazing! First, I have a doctorate degree in the medical field with 35 years of experience and have worked in offices managed by individuals who are clearly patient-centered versus medical offices in which financial focus outweighs caring, sincere compassion, and integrity. I recently established care with Dr Kendrick after transferring from a dentist in Thomasville. I am one who typically does not like change. However, in this case, it was a pure blessing that I did so. I truly wish that I would have transferred my care to Dr. Kendra earlier than I did. The practice is well run, efficient, and patient-centered in every way. The office itself is organized and exceptionally clean with the latest and best technology available. During my visits thus far, I have been greatly impressed by the amiable, joyful, professional, and peaceful staff and office environment across the board. Not one staff member has been offputting in any manner. Their pleasant demeanors and deeply caring personalities are not contrieved, as I have now spent enough time under their care to recognize that everyone in this practice is fully engaged in not merely meeting patience expectations, but far exceeding them. Upon entering the practice, I am always greeted with kind words and a smile. My wait time has been less than five minutes thus far. Once called back, the staff spend time asking about any new medical problems that may have risen since my last appointment and they always thoughtfully review my treatment plan so that I can anticipate what to expect upon the current visit as well as my next visit. On top of this, they are so invested in their patients that they take time to get to know each patient as a person outside of their medical issues. They are gracious and people of high character. As for Dr. Kendrick, I simply cannot put into words how incredible she is as a professional, highly skilled, and down to earth person who immediately instills confidence by her knowledge and the fact that her focus is on you and she does all of the right things to make me feel well cared for, safe, and comforted. During whatever treatment I am undergoing, she never leaves the room for more than 5 to 10 minutes during my visit (and this is typically due to the fact that she has injected lidocaine into the area in my mouth in which she will be working, and the lidocaine does take several minutes to fully numb the area.) Throughout the procedure, Dr. Kendrick frequently inquires about my comfort level and does not "chit-chat" with her assistant. Her focus is always on me, which heightens the sense of caring, compassion, and professionalism. Her cheery disposition is a blessing from God, and for the first time in my 53 years of living, I do not dread going to the dentist!! Dr. Kendrick is exceptional and extraordinary. Her and her staff go above and beyond for me in myriad ways. I have a very rare and incurable disorder (severe chronic neutropenia), which makes me extremely vulnerable to infections. I do not have to remind them of this, and they always show genuine concern towards reducing my risk of contracting an infection in my immunocompromised state rather than ever making me feel as if my SCN is a burden. They work well with my oncologist to ensure that any invasive dental procedures are safe and that I receive the required medications ahead of time before any procedure to mitigate the chance of any infection. As with the providers, all of the office staff are attentive, helpful, and go the extra mile to file both my primary and secondary dental insurance. The schedulers are easily accessible and equally as friendly as the other staff. My husband, who is a professor with a PhD, has been so impressed by the care given to me that he is in the process of transferring his dental care from a provider in Tallahassee to Dr. Kendrick! I would highly recommend Dental Associates of Southwest Georgia. I am thankful that I am now under their care, especially Dr Kendrick, and look forward to remaining a lifelong patient of theirs. I cannot even imagine a better dentist, staff or office. They truly are a blessing from God!

I saw Ron for an exam on a permanent crown in December 2023. He stated it needed to be removed…read more However, due to my medical history he believed I needed to see a oral surgeon. He would get the necessary documentation to forwarded to the surgeon. Horse pucks. I did what he stated his office group would do. For future understanding. This oral surgeon was the premier educated and most skilled oral, led the hospital department for oral surgery. All according to the the Ron Shiver. The oral surgeon stated due to the recommendation of my expert led medical team he did not understand why I had been referred to him for oral surgery. The tooth was not impacted or in any position to cause a difficult extraction, Feb 2024. Further. I saw Ron again for a dental cleaning in He extracted the tooth in May 2024 external circumstances not due to dental reasons. On July 30, I went for my dental cleaning, I was refusing to have dental films. I had some in the same 12 months for my dental insurance and they will not accept new charges on some xrays like panoramic but every 5 years. Ron Shiver himself I would not be charged by the dental office in front of my husband and I. He stated it to the front office who put in the charge that day for $0.00. However, later I received a bill for a tooth extraction done by Ron Shiver and the dental xrays on July 30, 2024. 1) you cannot extract a tooth that had already been extracted. 2) the information about not being charged for xrays was "written " in my chart by the hygienist 3) the hygienist stated the Xrays would not be billed to the office staff information again when we checked out and 4) an office that hands out Biblical and Church material and cannot follow the guidelines set forth in the New Testament by Christ as outlined by the Apostles or by Paul after his conversion. Let alone the 10 commandments given to Moses...is just trying to put one face while the truth is far from what is delivered When I called the office after receiving the bill, they stated they would not bill me and correct the billing with insurance. They did not. Furthermore, Delta Dental has almost no providers, so I am limited. I have no dental provider now because of the fact that the office lost any trust they were given. Ron Shiver from the sounds of it can loose his license if enough people file complaints to the governing State Board for his license and lose his insurance coverage if you complain to insurance. It took a second complaint for me to have insurance really pay attention to the fact a tooth cannot be extracted twice. Insurance can have claims filed against them made to the GA Insurance Commissioner. Either complaint can be done in written or electronic format. Warning: Do not let Doctors practice medicine we should expect Physicians including Dentists should be healing us. Noone had called to even cancel my appt on the day it was scheduled, and I drove 1/2 an hour on roads that had no snow just to find out the office was closed. Then the next day, his office did not call me to reschedule. I had to call them, and they refused to work me in even after I told them my husband was divorcing me and I would lose my dental insurance before the date of my rescheduled appt. That meant I had to pay the dentist 180.00 vs my appt. being free under insurance. The secretary did not care. I called again today 2/12/25 to beg the office to see me, to work me in instead of what they did, which was to reschedule me for two months down the road. She put Dr. Shiver on the phone, and he told me he would not see me anymore as a patient. Very terrible and unsympathetic and cruel man!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!!!! He dropped me after 15 years for no good reason. He should lose his license.
