We've been using Adams Lawn Service for about 7 years. For the mowing service, he edges the lawn, sidewalk, street, flower beds, and swimming pool. For the fall cleanup, he removed all our leaves. In addition to the lawn cleanup, he weed-wacked the weeds on our large hard scape patio and removed the pine needles that had collected in the corner. He also removed leaves from our driveway and sidewalk. Our yard looks gorgeous after his service. He comes regularly and on time. We also have him snow blow our drive way and he always has it completed by the time we have to go to work. His staff is courteous and thorough. Our driveway and sidewalk are a,ways left clean The best part, has low rates. We had another service and Adam does more and charges less. We live in South Windsor and are grateful for his service read more

I want to fully express how I feel when I worked for Adam's Lawn Service. My Name is Chris T. I am a Deaf man and the only Deaf worker who worked for Adam. I joined Adam Lawn Service almost 4 years ago, since then I have been one of his most loyal workers. I want to inform everyone that Adam has a very bad attitude and texting conversational behavior. He enjoys making himself feel superior with power around his workers. He makes that clear always with his workers. We employees do not realize this inappropriate behavior until later after we're hired. I would mostly partner with Adam and be in his passenger seat. I would deal with a lot of the abuse from him because we were mostly partnered for work. I would often be targeted by Adam and he would belittle me purposely to make himself feel more superior towards me. My boss was always depending on my loyalty but also took advantage of it too. Adam blew up at me once when I was mowing a customer's lawn because I didn't mow in a perfect straight line. I always seemed to end up being his target for bullying and manipulative behavior. Most of my job consisted of using the Weed-Wacker machine always. A few times i would mow with the Walk-Behind machine. Adam would refuse to allow me to use the Zero-Turn machine. The reason why he did that is because he's lazy and discriminated against me. I'll never forget one time Adam hit my head very hard during work when I made a simple mistake trying to lift up the Walk-Behind machine's vacuum. Two workers witnessed this. Both of those workers no longer work for Adam. In the almost 4 years I worked for Adam I always arrived on time and never missed a day. In that time, I've worked for him he's never given me a vacation. When I asked for a vacation, he made excuses and tried to guilt me into working more overtime for him. He's very manipulative and selfish for money. When I decided to quit and made it very clear to Adam, he discontinued my direct deposit. I texted him about my last paycheck and he acted innocent and bluffed around the information. He gave me a hard time and even told me I owed him money for something that he loaned to me. He wanted to somehow make a deal and get some money his way too. I felt very taken advantage of and once again trapped in this situation. We came to an agreement to meet at his office. He spoke not a word to me. He handed me my "termination" paper to sign and he gave me my last paycheck and I paid him money for something I never had to owe him. The termination paper explains everything that I'm not as a worker. He completely dismissed all my hard work for him in these almost 4 years and for tolerating his behavior. He got his money I suddenly "owed" him--which was way less than my paycheck--but to make sure to show his superiority he had to get some type of "win" out of me quitting and leaving his ego intact. I have picture proof of my termination letter. This man is petty and must feel pretty low about himself to do this to a very loyal worker for almost 4 years and never missed a day of work. I feel bad over 20 of my co-workers have quit because of Adam's bad behavior and attitude and bullying awful. Please avoid this business and being employed here. read more

I suggest to never work for this guy Adam Thibedeau who calls himself the boss of his sad business. He is bad news and has an awful attitude. If anything wrong happens it's the workers own fault--"never" his. He never takes responsibility for any of his actions or behavior. He always has a reason to blame his workers for "their" bad attitude when he's the main source for any of his works behaviors that are negative. He has no respect and always has a bluff to cover up his wrongs. He enjoys having the power and being superior to his employees and bullying them. My husband is Deaf and the only Deaf worker there. My husband has worked there loyally for 4 years and this guy overworks his employees and could care less about their well being. He's hit my husband on the head for making a mistake during work. That I do not accept. Adam never made directions clear to my husband when my husband is deaf and Adam can just write down what he jobs he needs my husband to get done. And if my husband made any mistakes Adam would not calmly explain or help my husband, but would instantly blow up angrily making my husband feel oppressed and overwhelmed. Adam never treated his workers with the same respect he shows towards his customers. My husband told me Adam always made sure his CUSTOMERS were satisfied but could care less about his workers--he only wants the money. That's no way to run a business. He never appreciates his good workers. He likes to make himself feel good by being "superior" to his workers. He likes to make sure he gets the money. My husband and others witnessed Adam having $60 total for tips and gave $20 equally to all his employees except one. My husband being a humble man gave this other worker his $20 tip. This is when my husband started feeling fed up with Adam's unprofessionalism. The following week my husband let Adam know he and I would be going on vacation during winter break. My husband hasn't had a vacation in all the 4 years he's worked for this guy and what does Adam do? Adam guilt's him into staying and that he has to overwork himself now because my husband won't be there. Adam has other workers to help too. But purposely seeks out my husband to make him feel overworked and miserable. Adam always allowed other workers to have their vacations but never let my husband have one. My husband could never get a break from this guy. Ridiculous! The animosity from Adam was overwhelming and scary to watch my husband go through. My husband felt trapped at a job that he thought gave him joy but really took away from his personal life and family. That is when my husband decided it's time to start cutting ties with this loser of a "boss". When my husband tried to quit Adam's Lawn Service his boss gave him the hardest time and making sure he got every bit of money my husband "owed" him before giving him his last paycheck. He made my husband sign a "no show" sheet for 1 week when my husband actually quit that week. Proof he quit he left his uniform in a box in front of his boss's door. If that wasn't obvious enough--then this guy is running a sad show for what he calls a business. From what my husband witnessed, this guy loses workers monthly. My husband has a list of over 20 people who have left in the past 4 years he's been working there. Everyone who works there suffers through the abuse to continue working for this man. Be careful with this man, very selfish of your money and no respect. I suggest finding another Landscaping business and avoiding Adam's. And if you're already working for this sad sack then get out while you can. read more

This is the worst employer by far that I've ever made contact with, I live around the corner from his shop and he refuses to allow me to pick up my check. There was no argument, there was not any misunderstanding on my part. He explained to me I would be paid on friday and now is trying to make me wait cause I don't to work for him. Unfortunately this type of behavior is very unprofessional not to mention the profanity used in my inbox which I refuse to indulge in wow what a horrible experience!!!!!! read more

Handles his business very unprofessionally. After not signing on for the 2015 season, we thought we were done receiving his service until one afternoon someone was mowing our lawn. I went out and told the worker that we hadn't signed a contract, and the guy said no problem, but would finish the front lawn for us so it wouldn't just have one mowed strip. 2 weeks later we received a bill for the full amount of $25, and Adam was not willing to compromise and take half the payment for only half the job being completed. Worked for the company for 2 days. I ended up quitting after I worked both days non stop without even a five minute break to eat my lunch. When I explained to this guy I couldn't keep up this pace without a break that he legally is supposed to give his workers, he was a huge jerk and ended up shorting me almost $100 when I went to collect my money he owed me. I asked why he only paid me that much because his ad stated 15-18 Per hour, he stated I was paid minimum wage bc I lied about my job experience. BS. Check my references and see if I'm lying. He is so fake. Someone should report this douchbag to the DOL. Biggest jerk I've ever met and certainly biggest asshole I ever worked for. read more

They pasted an ad for their service in the middle of my front storm door. I called and said i didn't appreciate that and it's not a good way to advertise. They hung up on me without saying a word, let alone apologizing. Plenty of lawn services to choose from without choosing the rude ones. read more

Adam and his team removed large tree limbs that were directly over our home. Unfortunately, space did not allow for any bucket trucks to be used. His team climbed the tree and safely removed the branches. They were polite, friendly, punctual and reasonable. I would recommend (and have) Adam's Lawn Service.
