My dad sent the email and Bob replied, saying he would pay when it got closer to the due dates for each. The due date for the federal taxes came and passed and the taxes never got paid. Now my dad owes a penalty and Bob refuses to get back to us. We will never go to him again. We will be filing complaints with the IRS and Better Business Bureau, with his emails as proof. Beware!

They gave me a price of $125 or "a buck and a quarter" as the CPA said. When I was contacted, I was told I misheard him and that I was to pay $150. I argued it, but since it wasn't in writing I rested my case. I then attempted to ask him a few tax questions and I was cut off and asked, "do you need advice or your taxes filed?" They will not do both. Asking the CPA a simple question was like pulling teeth. (My returns were not extensive at all btw) You could tell he dreaded answering questions for free, God forbid. Apparently the $150 wasn't enough for the Tax Wizard of Oz-Castle. They made the whole tax process dreadful and uncomfortable. It was a two weeks before I brought myself to return to pay them. Though I had many recommendations and referrals for other accountants, I chose to work with Rose because I chose to specifically support a woman and minority owned business. One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it's time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.
