I have been going to Lisbon Acupuncture once to twice a week for the last two months. I came to Hayley's office with several chronic ailments: hard to control asthma for the previous nine months, hormonal issues, irregular heart rhythm, and also some--or quite a lot--of anxiety. Two weeks after the first treatments, my asthma--for which I had been using control and rescue inhalers every day--had improved dramatically! And after four weeks of acupuncture, I stopped using my inhalers for the first time in months, which I wanted to do! However, on medical advice, I decided to use them again, and my asthma worsened dramatically. Hayley and I worked together to get me off the inhalers again, as that was my wish, and today, after a couple of acupuncture treatments and some ear acupressure, I'm breathing so much better and I'm finally off the inhalers once more. In terms of my uterine fibroids and hormonal issues, my progress has been slower. However, acupuncture has directly helped with my heavy menstrual cramps and periods. My improvement is also noticeable in terms of my arrhythmia and anxiety; I am back to sleeping well and soundly. In general, I feel so much better! Hayley is a highly attentive and responsive practitioner. She also has a very soft touch, gives great advice when you ask her, and is knowledgeable in other health practices besides acupuncture, such as aromatherapy and craniosacral massage, to name a few. Her office is also beautifully decorated and illuminated. It's a safe and lovely place. Given her handling of the treatments and my results, I know she is an exceptional acupuncturist! I trust her practice, and I'm so happy to have found her in Lisbon; we're both ex-pats. Because I've had such good results, I've recently decided to have my treatments twice a week. Acupuncture is an ancient medical practice that requires time, consistency, and patience. It is not magic, although its results--as with my asthma--can sometimes seem magical. The first time I had acupuncture in my whole entire life was with Hayley in Paris and I loved it. Sadly I live in London so I couldn't see her on a regular basis but she steered me in the right direction to continue getting acupuncture. I was visiting Lisbon from NYC and was experiencing really bad bloating. After two nights of almost no sleep from the discomfort, I reached out to Hayley for an appointment.
