The day I walked into her office was particularly bad; I literally could not move my left arm at all. After just one treatment, I was astounded to have regained 70% of the motion in my left arm! After 12 treatments, my shoulder was 100% back to normal! A month ago, after a particularly rough bout with Covid, I suddenly found my left rotator cuff and right knee were giving me a great deal of pain. Fortunately, I knew where to turn. I went to Kate and after just 6 treatments, my shoulder and knee are in great shape. My experience with Kate Hoffman at Vero Acupuncture has been 100% positive. Unlike some physicians who listen to you recite your symptoms, then say, "uh huh ... uh huh ... come back in 3 months", Kate listens, takes notes, then checks with you after the treatment. "How does it feel now?" I strongly recommend Kate Hoffman and Vero Acupuncture. Without reservation, I can give her the highest compliment you can give any physician: you can TRUST her to give you the best care possible.

Sharing a TERRIBLE experience with a chiropractic office I've been using since 2021. I'm sad to…read morestay, but it took such a bad experience that I'm compelled to inform others. I've been a patient of Dr. Hess at Indian River Health Center since 2021. He's a very skilled chiropractor, and until recently, I continued to return despite what appeared to be ongoing issues with staff turnover and internal/ legal conflicts with other medical practitioners. However, my most recent experience was so unprofessional, disrespectful, and inconsiderate that I feel compelled to speak out. Before renewing my health insurance, I specifically called the office to confirm which plans they accepted. Based on their confirmation, and after double-checking with both my insurance agent and the insurance company, I chose a comprehensive (and expensive) PPO policy **specifically to continue seeing Dr. Hess.** One day before my appointment, his staff called again to verify that my plan was accepted and that my co-pay would be zero. Yet, when I arrived for my appointment, the receptionist abruptly told me they would NOT accept my policy after all. When I reminded her that they had confirmed multiple times that they did, she replied rudely that the only way I could see Dr. Hess was to pay out-of-pocket, and she added, "If you don't like it, you can go somewhere else." I was stunned. This was not only unprofessional but deeply disrespectful on various levels. Patients deserve honesty, consistency, and basic courtesy - not to be misled about coverage and then dismissed. I texted Dr. Hess directly afterward to allow him to address the situation. It has now been over a week, and he has not responded at all. Unfortunately, this silence speaks volumes. I've supported Dr. Hess over the years, even defending him when others spoke negatively about his conduct behind the scenes. But after this experience, I can no longer do so. **No patient deserves to be treated this way.**
