We had the pleasure of working with both Moe (from the initial inspection, quote & install) and his brother Ed (remeasure due to construction changes to garage & install). BOTH gentlemen were extremely friendly, professional and communicative. If at any point I had any questions or concerns, they got back to me the same day and many times within minutes. They always made me feel like I was their top client and that's rare in today's society. This was the first time I was replacing the entire garage, from the door, to the tracks down to the opener and rail. I took my time and did my due diligence including meeting with multiple companies. I wanted to make sure I was being given a fair quote but more importantly, I wanted to be comfortable with who I chose to work on my home. Moe was more than patient with the questions I had and responded time and time again professionally and straight forward. You could tell there were no smoke and mirrors and he was making sure there were no gotchas at the end. The quote we were given was the amount we paid. Once the door and all the parts were in, Moe and Ed worked together to tear down the old and install the new, in an orchestrated effort. Each had their own tasks (no one was just standing around) and each used caution and care to make sure nothing happened to the new door during installation. The end result was a beautifully installed custom door that took our curb appeal up quite a few notches! One that we look forward to enjoying for many years to come!! One last comment. Our CUSTOM & OVERSIZED door (not a standard solid short or long panel white door) was purchased during the pandemic when manufacturing companies were struggling to keep up with demand and shortages in materials like metal (springs, track, part of the door). We had a longer than usual wait for the MANUFACTURE, to build and ship the door and the springs were on back order due to limited amounts of material to make them. This was NOT the fault of Active or something that Moe or Ed did or didn't do, but a simple fact of the times we were in. Moe was always on top of things and provided updates when they became available. As soon as everything was in, they got us up and running. Never once did we feel the problem or issue was with Active, but rather the times we were currently in and how bad COViD has affected so many things. if you order a custom door (it doesn't matter the manufacture or company you go with for your purchase) they are ALL in the same boat, longer than normal wait times. Gave me an estimate prior based on what I thought needed to be fixed and came in under estimate. New parts on door were not needed and Moe connected it all back up and adjusted it so it works great. My old 35 year wood door never ran so well. I am going to need a new door in the future so definitely will use Active Garage Doors when that time comes. It's saturday afternoon and I am about to go out. I open the garage door but the entire thing gave up and the whole door collapsed. I am freaking out because there is no way I can get out now. the entire door is gone and the motor is not pulling it back up. I tried to manually move the door but it was too damaged. I called Active Doors and the guy came in with 30 minutes. We ended up installing a new door, so we had to order parts, but he helped me get out and go about my day.
