Labor for: replacing a rear derailleur $20 (5 minutes), adjusting a front derailleur $15 (60 seconds), adjusting another front derailleur $15 (30 seconds). Yes, the job got done but at a cost of $60 for less than 7 minutes of work. I was not provided an estimate cost before the work was started. I would have declined. But, I silently paid and walked out with regret. Who is running the business? The technician? He finalized the work order. If I ran the business, I would have charged for only 1 adjustment ($15). Total of $45 or $60 would not have made much difference. I can afford it. But, it is the bad feeling when I walked out. read more

This is such a wonderful bicycle shop. My Walker roller broke, it lost a screw. I know, bicycle shops fix the brakes and other things for Walkers so I stopped by and they put in another screw and made sure it was tight and that it was right height and everything and they did it as a courtesy that's how nice they are and how professional and good. it took like five seconds. They were wonderful. I HighlyRecommend everyone in Katy to come to this world class bicycle shop with amazing customer service. read more

Wanted to find a "Mom & Pop' store to build a relationship with a local bike store. Just bought a bike from an online store (Priority) and needed the tires to be trued. Had a few minor issues and went to another shop looking to find a seat clamp (lost in shipping). Lady had an attitude and said - "that's why you should buy your bike at a local shop". Walked out of there, never to go back. So happy I found this Bike Shop in Katy! First walking in, I was greeted with 4 wonderful people who welcomed me into the shop. THIS! This is what I wanted. The selection of the bikes to purchase are really good. The shop is clean and appealing, kind of a small town friendly feel. The bike technicians are well trained and knowledgeable. I brought it in for a Bottom Bracket replace and tune-up, and the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything to me and answered all of my questions. The work they did on my Pinarello bike was outstanding. It's running like new again, and I couldn't be happier. They were fast and efficient, and the price was very reasonable. I had an issue with some gear that was not related to bicycles, but I had been advised that a bike shop might be able to provide what I needed. I went to Active and while they did not have what I thought I needed, they did offer what sounded like a viable option. They modified my equipment while I waited and I could not ask for a nicer group of people. The facilities were clean, well organized and professional all the way around.
