Legacy made it easy to schedule, arrived when they said they would, and sent a technician who was well equipped, skilled and a good communicator. Given all the things that had to be done along the way, the manager gave me a good deal on a couple of the other issues that were repaired, which made feel they were very value conscious. Among the firms that I reached out to through Yelp, they were the first on the site and ready to start work. I'd definitely use them again.

I reached out to Dunn initially through a Google search (after hours) and received an email and text message reply within 24hrs. I appreciate the prompt reply. I called the next day and their phone system used an automated AI response initially, but I was then rerouted and able to speak with a service person. They dispatched a technician, diagnosed my issues, sent quote estimates to my email, followed up with a confirmed booking, and came out within the next day with the proper part to service my broken system. Before the serviceman arrived, I received text updates with pictures of who to expect and with their estimated time of arrival. The communication, timeliness and efficient service provided by Dunn was exceptional. They charge a standard assessment fee which is factored into the overall cost of service. I would recommend Dunn if you're local to their service areas.

For generator install, I would say buyer-beware. A generator takes a number of different skills…read moreand departments to get done, and here is where that becomes a problem for MPE. MPE does not have any Birmingham electricians. They rely on Florence. However they do not tell Florence any instructions. They really don't communicate well within their own offices. They do not read the permits for inspections or requirements for placing the generator. My install, which was sold as a two day project has taken 2 months, with rain delays and lies about how many installs were ahead of mine. Then they put the unit too close to a post and it had to be moved. Then the electrical and gas had to be redone. I took off a vacation day during the electrical, to let them inside the home to work on load shedding, but the electricians don't know how to do that, so I am still waiting on an HVAC guy and will have to take another day. Very unprofessional and will take advantage of your time.

Our smoke alarm/carbon monoxide detector near the home office began chirping. We did everything we…read moreknew to do, but the chirping would stop for a day and start back up again. We found out through the web that it was at end-of-life and needed to be replaced. The problem was that the detector was wired in and neither my husband nor me are electricians. I found Jackson Electric and decided to call them. Mr. Steven Jackson was very professional and let me know that he would contact me the next day to schedule an appointment. Around lunchtime the next day, I got a call from Michael, who said they would be coming in 30 minutes. I had a training to do, but made adjustments so he could come. Three guys with masks arrived to find out what needed to be done. When I showed them what was going on and showed them that I had the replacement, they did the work in about 5 minutes. The workers were very professional, cleaned up after themselves, and the price was very reasonable and I was pleased the chirping had stopped. Unfortunately, about 3 days later, our other smoke alarm/carbon monoxide detector began chirping. I called Jackson Electric again because of the great service we received the first time. He told me that he would contact me to schedule an appointment. The next day, Michael called and said, "We are in your area - can we come now?" Unfortunately, I was unavailable. Michael said, "No problem. Please call Mr. Jackson to reschedule." I tried several times to get in touch with Mr. Jackson to reschedule with no luck. I left a voicemail with times that I was available to help with his scheduling. I left text messages to try and reschedule. My husband called him a few times to try and reschedule. We did not receive a response. My husband ended up calling someone else. I will say that our first experience with Jackson Electric was great. Not sure what happened the second time, though.

The tree company that I hired stated that they were highly able and had the experience necessary to remove such a large oak tree that was so close to a power line such as I had in my backyard. Needless to say, they were a nightmare! They dropped a huge limb that was high on the tree onto the power line that ran to my house. I was without power for nearly 8 hours because of the lies this company told Cleco to avoid dealing with their insurance! They wanted me to take the blame and I wasn't about to lie! Dixieland was a lifesaver in this situation! If it wasn't for the professional team that came out so quickly, not to mention the receptionist that dealt with Cleco behind the scenes, I would have been clueless as to what I should do because I had five various voices in my ear telling me what to do from the company that cut down the trees. The best choice I made was calling Dixieland to handle this situation! They didn't long whatsoever to come out! They were at my house in Mandeville within 30 minutes. They were very professional, honest, experienced, and friendly! I'd recommend Dixieland to anyone when it comes to your electricity because they have the knowledge to fix or repair anything they might stumble upon! Thank you very much, Dixieland for your hard work and response time with my situation!
