Excellent Recovery Program!!!! My apprehension going to a…read moretreatment facility was lifted when I arrived at Hope House. From day one of my admission, the staff was so accommodating I was relaxed and ready to begin my recovery treatment. I was not disappointed, not even once. They teach from experience and have an excellent syllabus that enhances the entire scope of addiction and recovery. I want to give accolades to the entire staff for the respect, professionalism, and compassion that was bestowed upon everyone. Thanks to you all, I have become a better person due to your diligence and love! Sheila M. Sims

Hope House Laurel makes a traumatic time for families seeking assistance a nightmare. Their phone…read moreadmissions team is abrasive, argumentative, and had the nerve to laugh at my family member who I was desperately seeking assistance to get into a treatment facility. After attempting to a do a phone screen for admissions when the individual was obviously in a compromised mental state but still answering their questions and acknowledging on their own free will they were seeking to go to a treatment center, they quickly said they were not qualified and then asked them to get a pen and paper and they would give them somewhere else to call. When I offered to take down the phone number for another facility she said she would not be able to provide it to me and kept aggressively asking the compromised family member to get a piece of paper and pen. I am the primary plan holder for insurance, offered to connect them with their As I continued to cry on the phone just seeking a recommendation, she said I was not allowed to be on the phone. When the family meme we was embarrassed and couldn't respond, she decided to laugh at him as she hung up the phone. No compassion, no assistance, no resources or even a heart to help a family in a desperate situation.

I am 100% sure they kidnapped my cat from my community and hostage her for donation and selling as a business rather than a non profit organization. Pure intention matters! I have donated to multiple organizations monthly base, raising fund for good purpose, money is not a problem for me. However, I don't want to reward bad behaviors. The missing time for my cat and the one they posted online matches and the very detailed stripes pattern matches. It's questionable that one employee said she from North Carolina, another one said she from West Virginia. I have my cat since she was born, I can recognize this cat from eye contact. Well, if you know your children, you know them by the spirit, right? I sent them many details to JUST take a look, they refused. It's not built to help ppl or animals at all. I will show how my cat look like and how sick she is now in their foster home. I'm deeply saddened and worried about her. She is territorial as a cat does. She has been a happy cat in her own home, wtf they think this is a rescue. Now I have to either kiss their ass or be assertive to fight against this negativity just to get her rescued from these horrible ppl. F that! If they don't practice as ethical as it should be, this is a big big issue! I put the photos of how my cat looked before and how she looks now in their foster homes(one with name caption) I am seriously furious and frustrated about this. If they couldn't give me an explanation why they made it so difficult to meet the cat. I have to say I will use my popularity and influence to the extreme to make things right!!!

We were greeted by 3 staff members (apologies I don't remember their names). I initially thought this was just a venue to smash stuff but it was explained that this is a mental health venture aimed at spiritual healing. After signing the waivers and donning our PPE, we went in. The wooden structure isn't huge so you cant get running starts or make any long over hear arm movements, but it ended being just the right amount of space to get your smash on. Initially I was caught up in the novelty of smashing things, but a point in time came where that novelty faded and I found myself tapping into an aggression and emotion I did not go there with. It wasn't until I stood there out of breath with my hands sore that I truly understood what this place was for. That session provided a space and avenue for me to truly let go, for just a little bit. If you haven't done that recently (or ever), you need to book a session to understand what im talking about. A challenge was issued to me to put in work on the water heater and I made a decent hole in it but that thing was tough. They sure don't make em like they used to.

The site was well furnished with safety gear (goggles, gloves, etc.), tools (bats, sledgehammers, etc.) and objects to smash (microwave oven, water heater, glass bottles, etc.). It was stress relieving and fun with the opportunity to damage and destroy inanimate objects in a normally civilized world. I definitely recommend if in the DMV area.
