The Pastor was awesome and interacted with the partitioners and also made us feel very welcome! I cannot say enough great things about this Church, God lead me here and I will continue to attend here probably until I leave this Earth. When we moved up to McKinney we would take meandering drives on the back roads, exploring the area…read more For the record, Bridgefarmer is a delight to drive. We drove down it and followed along the lake, and ended up taking a right just at this intersection, where First Baptist Branch sits across from Ruthie's Catfish and Po' Boys, next to the trailer park. First Baptist is a sweet little building with a church bell, playground, and white steeple. It was charming, and we determined we'd stop in sometime when kid's naps prevented us from making the long drive down to our home church. We did, and oh my. We are in an era of big churches, but I know lots of people that say they love and want a small church to attend. Well, FBB is just that. It has that small country church feel and they sing old hymns in an old country style (seriously, they regularly schedule singing events with country music that you will rarely find these days!). The congregation is mostly older and they are the absolute sweetest. I was charmed by the hugs and the all the grandmas that loved on my kids immediately. They currently have a new pastor.
