One reason why we visited Negros is to check out the infamous Apo Island.
Had some tips from friends on how to get there but we don't have a really concrete plan.
So after finding out about the package plan from Acqua Dive we decided to go with it.
It's 1,450 pesos/person for a day of snorkeling which already includes boat, lunch, fee to the island, snorkeling gears, beverages and banana. We are going to be visiting 3 areas of the island.
If we go on our own, we have to pay the boat that takes us to the island which is 300 pesos each for non -residents in the island. We also have to pay another 300 pesos to use the island. Then of course theres the food, drinks and everything else. We have two mask and only one fins so we can't go together and no life jacket for me.
So after computing the cost, it was more convenient for us to take the package.
They also offer pick up and transportation for us from our resort to Acqua Dive, towels and free use of their pool.
Staff were very friendly and very helpful.
There were only 5 of us, so we have the whole big boat to ourselves.
Lots of fun of course.
P.S. the local staff does not earn much so if you are happy with their service, a nice good tip will go a long way. read more
