They're always really helpful and give great advice on all types of animals. You can get lots of fish here, rabbits and other rodents or perhaps you'll get a couple of lovebirds. I remember when I was around nine I found a Tadpole in my friends garden pond, he was so cute and I called him Ray. That day I took a trip to Creature Comforts to get a new abode for Ray complete with colourful stones and a little plant. Ray loved it, but sadly he never made it to froghood but did sprout two frog legs which was fascinating if a little creepy.

Even though this is on the small side, the space is managed well and it has a wide range of stock. Ranging from a good selection of animals themselves as well as all the food, treaties and paraphernalia you could ever require/seek to find. The few occasions in which I have been in the staff have always been friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Since discussing pet shops with other people (and I have a friend or ten who currently own pets...), they have ALL been super positive about this shop too.

In and out in minutes in a good way that is. More the 'I'll dash in to pick up [required item] on the way home opposed to the 'Oh my goodness - run for the door quick!'. The staff are really friendly and ultra helpful with a good knowledge of pet care, products and everything in-between (despite not actually having any pets in store). You'll also find loads of stock packed into a, relatively, small shop. Hence, if you wanted to you could easily spend a good while in here mulling over the high selves with everything from cat and dog baskets to guinea pig exercise toys. Erm, this is where I have to admit that me and the boy drunkenly bought a guinea pig together about nine months ago. Furthermore, it's only been within the past month that I've discovered guinea pig exercise toys exist - for 'fun, health, entertainment and exercise'. Therefore, this is the place where you'll find any pet related supplies you need - or think you need now that you know they exist. The staff are great, the prices and much better than anywhere else I've been and it would seem that they have the tastiest guinea pig food around. Oh, and they have an array of people's personal adverts for litters in the window/door way so you can always have a look over those if you're thinking about acquiring a new pet. The staff are also really helpful and will keep you right so you won't disappoint. If you've recently got a new critter then the people here are great for advice. Although they don't stock a lot of things for the reptile population they helped my old flatmate get the right materials for her baby corn snake, so whatever animal you have, they know what they're talking about. Even if you need something that they don't usually stock, they can sometimes order it in for you.

This is one of the bigger Pets at Home I've been in…read more Situated close to the Linwood / Paisley ASDA, this store feels like a supermarket for pets and accessories, unfortunately when I think of supermarkets I think of highly competitive prices but unfortunately the prices in here are higher than most. Pets at home are one of these stores that sell pets (fish, rats, gerbils, rabbits, etc) as well as items for pets. I have a love / hate relationships with pet stores that sell animals as I feel that pets are scentient animals and not products for stores to sell, but now that that little rant is over, sometimes you just need to find something for that animal in your life. There is a wide range of everything from pet food, toys, treats, cat trees, minor pet health treatments, cleaners and most things that every pet guardian needs, but like all big chains it feels soul less. So overall, loads of choice, loads for all types of pets, but not the best on price.
