Great selection of jeans, shirts and some locally produced accessories with jeans brands like 3Sixteen (classics ST-120x), Indigofera, Big John, Iron Heart, LVC, Edwin and more. Personally I've done a lot of jeans shopping in Lower East of Manhattan just to find my slim 3Sixteen's. I guess the majority of the jeans spann between 1 300 - 2 500 kr, but it's well spent if you are looking for quality. There are some amazing jeans jackets that I will look into next spring. The service is impeccable. I came here last Saturday, it was rainy and not very pleasant like typical Swedish weather this time of year. The place is a little off the charts in the corner of Södermalm so the store was pretty empty. One of the brothers came up and asked if he could help us. I told him I was looking for my 3Sixteen and also wanted to try some other brands with a straight or slim fit. The guy brought us like 7 pairs that I went through until I landed the 3Sixteen's that I tried at first. He gave us some suggestions regarding the jeans and also showed us a few pictures of the final results from a year of "wear and tear". Just so that I could see how they will look a year from now. Since i'm old school jeans guy and do the 6 month wearing until I wash them for the first time (with the exception of the every now and then visit to the freezer in a plastic bag.) After this I go for the showering and hang dry my jeans. He suggested me to wear them for a month or so and then do the soaking in a bathtub or wash in the shower. And then wear them when they are still wet to get the perfect fit. There's also some cool accessories for those who like their wallets in a metal or leather chain. There's some nice thick leather bracelets as well for around 500kr which i'll get next time I'm there. Hopefully they will import the R.B.J's from Self Edge also. :)

The store is located on a prime location in Stockholm posh shopping street. Big store with plenty of variety they carry both the current collection and the old one at sale prices. Last time I came out with a bargain from the sale rack on three tall glass jar candles at 25kr a piece (which my boyfriend pointed out were probably supposed to be "funeral" candles for halloween... but that is still up for debate. Oh well! HA!) Another great thing is this shop is right next to the T-banna at Fridhemsplan for easy access. I would suggest giving your typical office supply store a break and try out some of the stylish supplies here. =)

Nice and helpful staff, friendly and never pushy. A good selection of products and best of all: very fair prices. Bought some typical tourist stuff (first time in Stockholm, so why not). The NK has top local and international brands. With a selection unrivaled in Sweden and impeccable customer service, the store attracts a decidedly upper-scale urban local segment. It claims 12M visitors p.a., including the random foreign business traveler like me. Joseph Sachs' founding vision was to make NK 'commercial and cultural theater.' The vibe at the NK is what I imagine Saks was like in '50s New York. Let's call it earnest coolness. There's more of an emphasis on quality workmanship and active curation of wearable fashion (rather than couture) brands like Peak Performance, Ralph Lauren and Gant. Less so the likes of YSL or Prada.

The store has so many areas specialising in different things from food to beauty - many of which have their own names, making a mini shopping mall with different parts of the store having their own Yelp listings - it would have been nice to see a technology section here similar to modern department stores, however. The store is step-free, apart from the grand main entrance which has steps going both up and down. This store is even worth visiting just for the grand nature and beautiful architecture which is remarkable and surely stands out in its' location, close to tram/bus services and T-Centralian. There wasn't a great deal of staff around the floor, other than those who might work for the individual stands within NK rather than the mall its-self and the store can be a little difficult to navigate at times due to its size- surprising for a high-end department store that employs 1200+. A remarkable, impressive department store just to walk around for the look and feel of the store alone - bare in mind it is pretty high-end and affluent, like a Swedish Selfridges. 4*
