I had had the same doctor for over 30 years. I had been seeing her ever since I was a kid so when…read moreshe retired I had no idea who to see when I started getting sick. I put it off for awhile but it got worse so I finally made an appointment. The scheduler made me an appointment with Dr. Nephew. I was nervous and I don't like change but I went to the appointment and explained what had been going on. Dr.Nephew did not just send me home and tell me to try different things instead she immediately scheduled me for certain tests. Within a week of seeing her they found a tumor inside of me bigger than a softball and she lead me in the right direction to have it removed. I am now a week out of surgery and even though she didn't do the surgery she called and checked on me. Dr.Nephew is smart, caring, compassionate, she listened to me without brushing anything off and figured out exactly what was wrong with Me. I feel so thankful to have found such a great doctor right away after my other doctor retired and will continue to see Dr. Nephew for as long as I can.

I rarely get sick and had only ever had surgery when I was a kid to have my tonsils removed. I was terrified and to make matters even worse my doctor of over 30 years had retired so I had to go to someone new. Dr. Andrea Lays did my surgery and there isn't enough good things I could say about her. She was kind, caring, patient and straight forward. I was spazzing out and even though she had a busy schedule she took the time to comfort me and let me know exactly what to expect which I really needed. She did unbelievable job on my surgery inside and the incision outside, she checked on me right away after to make sure I was okay and made sure to keep my family well Updated while I was out. She has a phenomenal personality and is very professional. If I had to go back and do it again and got to pick any doctor in the world I would pick her again.

The expectation was made that my first appointment would take a couple hours. When I arrived to my appointment I was greeted and only had to complete a few forms via computer. I was called to the back shortly thereafter. Everything was explained to me every step of the way. All my questions were answered, and I'm at ease with my future work. I left with appointments set up and an estimate of what my out of pocket portion will be. I definitely recommend DDA!!!!

An update to my recent DDA situation. After my previous review, a claim(the one that was promised,…read morebut not filed & "probably wouldn't pay anything anyway" was finally filed, not until after my first review. I am still wondering why that was said to me. Don't all charges have to be coded and amounts made/charged? I did not receive total I paid to DDA, but my dental insurance's allowance. For that, I guess I am supposed to be grateful. I was also accused(?) of not getting other people at DDA "involved" in my concern(s). After their charging me for repairing expensive and fairly new work and continued response "I am not part of medical Staff" while I was asking questions, I was not in the mood to hear any more of what I felt was condescending lip service, from anyone. I can't imagine anyone would feel differently, at this point. How did I end up being charged for what I feel is shoddy work? Was I supposed to "barter" about the charges before I was allowed to leave the building? No thanks. The main gist of a followup letter from office manager was to remove my original review. No apologies of any type. It also seemed to infer I was to blame or the main problem, even though they admitted "a problem was corrected"?? My original review is all true. I am not sure sharing reviews does other than help others that may end up with same experience. I will say I have done business at DDA for many years and have had some good experiences. This was not one of those.
