Ace has a late 70s, early 80s feel. It reminds me of the Mom and Pop liquor stores from my childhood. Even the awning outside is a classic- the old, yellow and black Buy Rite chain signage. Ace has a great selection of all things boozy and it's not even a huge place but it's filled to the brim with goodies. I went there to do a little after dinner wine shopping, with my favorite aunt. I selected two wines and a bottle of bubbly. The prices are reasonable and I was given the courtesy of using my aunt's discount which really made a difference at the register. While in Elmhurst I got a text from my buddy , get 2 bottles of champagne (not the cheap crap ) and a bottle of johhnie walker gold , cause your godson is graduating from law school and his father wants to get blasted due to the wonderful occasion. Ok ace wine and liquor was the nearest booze shop and this joint has the A to Z in liquor with very stocked shelves of different booze and more bottles on displayed wherever there is available space .. I got 2 different bottles of French champagne and one bottle of the gold J. Walker . Prices seem reasonable and I know the champagne would cost me a bit as 3 bottles totaled 240 bucks but soon I won't have to pay for legal service if and when needed and that's priceless . Overall a good neighborhood booze shop in queens that has it all in the liquor dept . 4.5 stars on my yelp meter. read more

Ace Wines & Liquors is a liquor store that's located in Elmhurst, a little outta the way for me, but my friend recommended it cuz they have an impressive lineup of whiskey and their prices are very reasonable. They also have a wide selection of both domestic and international wines and spirits. Ace has been around for more than 30 years too and they have quite the loyal following. The owners and staff here are very friendly and courteous. It's located conveniently on Grand Ave, and during the day, it's possible to find street parking around there. read more

I had a better price in a place somewhat farther away in Queens. On he phone, they promised to meet the price and kept their word. They are very nice people and make good recommendations. This is more than a liquor store. The store is pretty large in size and offers a great selection of (of course) liquor. What really impresses me every time is their vast selection of wines, and the knowledge of the owners. This is a great neighborhood business. This is the best place for Johnnie Walker Blue 750 ml! Over the summer, I was looking for Blue Label all over town. Places in Woodside, Forest Hills, Brooklyn, Bayside were all selling it for 200 or more. Ace had theirs for only 165! I'm not sure if they still have that deal but if they do, go pick one up before it ends! Everything else in here is moderately priced. They mostly sell cheap shit. Nothing very high end.
