Our furnace recently took its last breath and left us stranded in the cold harsh LA winter. We suddenly found ourselves in the market for a new heater and while we were at it, replace all of the ducts. We researched vendors through Yelp and met with a handful of companies. Looking to pay too much for too little work? Looking for a salesman and not a service man? If so, Accurate is your place!!! Give them a call. This company is only focused on one thing & it's not service. The business description is almost comical. Case in point - Had GFCI outlet issues. Tech came out, did a current test on the two outlets. It involved a meter, a probe, and a light. Forest Gump could have done this in 20 minutes. They figured out the bad one (yeah!!) and replaced the GFCI outlet. Cost - $598... but wait, you're awesome, so we'll give you a discount - $493. Keep in mind that a GFCI outlet runs $10 - $20 retail. Should you dare ask for an itemized bill - don't. You'd be stupid to ask. Besides, according to Accurate "Itemized bills are so old fashioned". Funny, I bet they don't say that when they go out to eat or pay their electricity bill. :-\ We didn't learn so we called them about a second item. This was plumbing. They charged to come "diagnose" the issue but put a caveat that the item was going to need to be replaced. They came out, they charge, and yup... "You need to replace the item". No explanation, no troubleshooting. Nada. How much... "we recommend the $7,000 option. The $6,500 option isn't quite as good" ... not as good for who? The part costs $2,200 for a good model at Home Depot. But we shouldn't ask for an itemized receipt to explain the additional $4,800. Since I'm now properly educated, let me pull out my abacus and do some old fashioned math - let's assume for a moment that it will take you 8 hours to install my equipment, which is hard to say since I don't know your estimated time, and seems ridiculous since all the piping is already ran, and it would merely be disconnect and replace - $4,800 / 8 hours = comes out to $600 per hour. So, this company thinks that you should pay them more than a doctor, a lawyer, an underwater welder, or a pilot. Hmmm. Must be some really, really smart plumbers and electricians. read more

I can not express how much I appreciate this company. Last summer our unit started acting wonky and we called the company who installed it to come check it out. They quoted us at over $2k to fix. We called Accurate for a second opinion. They sent Chad out and after troubleshooting he found the actual issue and saved us nearly $1.5k!!! It was late afternoon on Friday and I needed electric help since my breaker was having fire spark. I talked to Paula and she quickly found Ray to come to my place to make sure things are okay. He explained what the issue was and gave me a price quote. He was not able to start the work at that time since it's a 4 hours work and it was late. He turned off the breakers and made sure I was safe for the night. He came back bright early the next morning and performed excellent work. He was very professional and answered all of my questions. I am very pleased with his work. There was a miscommunication on the invoice and I talked to Anna. She called back and straighten things up. I really like their customer service. I've used Accurate in the past for a tiny job that ended up costing me more than I expected (and thought it should cost). It honestly put a bad taste in my mouth. But I believe in second chances. I received mail and email about a HVAC maintenance/checkup special and it was time for mine, so I tried them once again. Jacob came and renewed my impressions on Accurate. He was very professional and easy to speak with. He explained everything he was going to do and even saved me money by suggesting the annual maintenance for A/C, Heat, Plumming, and electric for just a little more than what I was going to pay for just the heat. He even went out of his way to call the office to see if I can change up my service to the plan. He was upfront and honest. I liked that. As far as safety, he was great. Had his mask on the whole time, gloves and shoe covers too. My whole family was home while he was here and I never questioned our safety. Yes he also gave me a quote for 3 different types of panels but when he came back after the third time. He only offered me one that would have cost me $6,000. When I know and you know that it is way cheaper than that to have a panel up graded. Is that something you tell your workers to do is try to work your customers out of their hard earned money. I would hope not them your worker told me you said my house was a fire hazard and not to touch it without changing me again. My personal experience when Accurate came out to solve my HVAC problem was worrisome and stressful and expensive. I had a part changed that is very common to break on an HVAC system, and I was told to pay $800 for parts/labor combined. They were there for about 1 hour max and changed one part. The part, I later learned, costs about $50. I understand parts are sometimes marked up a bit but that doesn't add up to $800 in parts and labor. So including labor this service should have been charged less than $200. This is by industry standards that I have verified independently. Your info may differ but this was my experience doing my own independent research. But it appears that I greatly overpaid. I was stuck in a situation where appointments for HVAC were hard to get in a heat wave and I felt under pressure to pay a higher fee because the alternative would be to wait another 2 days in terrible heat. Personally it was extremely stressful to have to go through this situation. Due to my own horrible experience, and my sense of having been taken advantage of (correct or not), I have decided this company is not worth hiring again. In my opinion, based on the facts, Accurate took a routine $100-$200 repair and turned it into an $800 "upsell" opportunity. It is too bad because I always need a good HVAC company in the area around Glendora. I'll pass on this one, and based on my personal experience would caution others. The one nice thing I can say is that the technician seemed to know what he was doing and I did have the sense he was experienced with HVAC systems. read more

When I called to make and appointment it was confirmed for the next day, between 9am and 12pm. I get up early at 8, prep the area the kitchen sink (a lot of cleaning supplies) and counter top... I get a call from them saying they were not sure when my appointment was and they could be out between 12 and 4 pm. ( I hate fucking Liars! I wish is was possible to give a negative 5 stars. I have been part of their membership for 2+ years and here is my experience. They originally came out to fix my AC and were convinced that it was a bad water pump and drain line. After several visits and $1900, that never corrected the problem. Now they were convinced I needed a whole new system inside and out. So more lost days of work and no AC waiting for them to replace the entire system at a reduced price. Great right? Except I tried to turn on the heat this week and the furnace does not turn on. I'm now another 3 visits in and they have sent everyone they have including the Service Manager and none of them can tell me what's wrong with the unit. Meanwhile my child is sick because we don't have heat at night. It is easy to understand why their techs don't last more than 6 months on the job and even easier to understand why this company has the reputation they have. The techs don't know what they are doing, they show up without the right tools or parts, and it takes multiple appointments to get to a resolution. I'm sorry we all don't have the easy schedule of Jeff Seale the owner where we can be home all day and miss work to have them come out 5 times to fix their own equipment that doesn't work. Please do yourself a favor and avoid giving these con artists any business unless you want to be on the ridiculous ride I'm on with them. read more

My partner and I recently purchased our first home and when we moved in we found that the air was running but was not cool at all. It was about 100 degrees outside that day and I am seven months pregnant. Thank goddess for Accurate they got out as soon as possible and where able to find that our dry wall company had punctured one of our air lines during our bathroom remodel. It took a few visits, a few holes in our walls but they were able to find the tiny hole and the nail and repair it for us. It was our first time using Accurate for an old wall furnace issue! Chad was the first one I met... an easy fix so we thought, worked for a few weeks, this wall furnace was on its way out. The second visit was Jacob, It turns out even if we replaced all the parts and install a new wall furnace it would have been pretty penny's so, another idea came up? I've been hearing a lot about these Mini Split AC / Heater systems that do both... "got me thinking here" So, I asked Jacob to set up an appointment with their Sales rep Eric! He came out went over what options we had, the cost, what would follow including a permit, etc. It was a no-brainer, our small area living room, and kitchen that are next to each other... it gets SUPER hot in the summer unbearably our regular electric fans only blew hot air, didn't serve the purpose.
