I am a California Private Investigator, earlier this year I had been contacted by Bob Cowan the…read moreowner of New Jersey based Cowan Investigations. Bob needed assistance with an investigation which was occurring in New Jersey, but would shortly spill over into my jurisdiction, San Diego California. I worked with Bob and his team of highly professional private investigators; these guys were second to none in their competence and devotion to getting the job properly investigated and wrapped up for their client. During the investigation, I had the pleasure of working with retired NYPD Detective Matt Del Rosario and Retired Jersey City Police Captain Joe Ascolese, these guys were top notch investigators who possessed extraordinary street smarts in their approach to conducting investigations. With all that said, rounding off Bobs team of investigators was his wife Liz Cowan, Liz was extremely organized, smart, perceptive and a really analytical investigator and a pleasure to work with. If you are from New Jersey and seeking a quality private investigation firm, take a good look at the team at Cowan Investigations you will not be disappointed.

I just want to say thank you to James for coming out so quickly and helping us through a really…read morestressful situation. We had a main water line burst that flooded our home, and things were pretty overwhelming. From the start, James was understanding, patient, and actually took the time to listen to me and my wife--something we didn't get from other adjusters. A lot of them came off aggressive and made the whole situation more stressful. With James, it felt completely different. He made us feel like we were in good hands right away. He kept everything organized, handled the process professionally, and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. That reassurance goes a long way when you're dealing with something like this. I highly recommend this company, and especially James. If you need help with a pack-out of your personal belongings, they're the ones to call. Everything was handled with care and done right.

The tickets carried 2 points each, and the fines were $330-$800. In our consult, Richard said he would get two tickets dropped, and the third ticket amended to no points. He cautioned me that the prosecutor will give me a higher fine to drop the ticket. I was excited at the prospect so I hired him on the spot. I didn't speak to him again until the day before the court appearance. He informed me that he was able to get one ticket dropped, but there would be no points on my record. I'll admit I was disappointed that I had to plead guilty to two tickets, but I was still very grateful for no points. On the day of the court appearance, it was another attorney that I never spoke to before. He spoke with the prosecutor just before court began. I pled guilty and had to pay $230 in fines. Considering the $450 surcharge for 6 points & fines over $400, it was worth it to hire an attorney. Admittedly, I could have spoken with the prosecutor and negotiated a plea before seeing the judge. However, I wasn't willing to take that risk! Overall, I was pretty satisfied & hopeful that I'll never be in traffic court again.
