Not even 30 seconds to a minute walking onto the court and my group was already being snapped at by an elderly woman on all the policies at Del Cerri Tennis Club and Pickleball Hub. The many rules include placing your bags on very specific designated spots - certain courts don't have a bench, certain courts share a small bleachers area, you can't drink water on the court. Etc etc. It's totally fine to have standards and rules but it's not fine to be rudely condescending literally SECONDS into showing up our FIRST time. All of this condescending and uppity attitude and they charge $20/hr for a court! I much prefer Barnes for their ample parking, better weather, and welcoming attitude.

Their Open play is convenient for people with day jobs since it started at 6:30pm. It is relatively easy to find but the parking lot was smaller than I expected (although there were open spots when I arrived). As i was new, the check-in person was very nice and explained the format, where to find the bathrooms, etc which I especially appreciated. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of courts, ranging from beginner to intermediate (majority were there) to advanced. They're in a long corridor with courts on both sides and have decent seating areas and good lighting. However I do wish the bathrooms were closer. Overall I had a good time and was able to play quite a few games with friendly people.

Each court has its" one entrance gate which is great when you are playing a league or tournament less interference with players passing through you court. Improvements that have occurred over time have made the club more complete, more welcoming, better organized, tennis friendly and competitive with other clubs. They now have a "staffed club house/ pro shop, a key pad entrance door for members, and with the" court reserve" app you can reserve a tennis court any day of the week. The app is easy to use, with it you can reserve your court, check out a list of events happening at the club, review a calendar of events, review your reservations: upcoming, past, and canceled, keep track of your individual events and make a profile page. There are always tournaments, leagues and mixers to get involved with to sharpen your game and to meet new people. Tennis clinics are available for youth and adults beginners, intermediates and advanced players throughout the week. This club has a lot to offer and I am happy it is doing so well.

Co-Ed Volleyball on Thursdays in Mission Beach was also very fun with great teammates! I played PB Kickball Co-Ed on Fridays that were not as fun due to people not showing up but every league and season are not going to be perfect! If you are new or old to San Diego, it's a wise decision to get out there and play!

These guys are absolutley terrible. They have constantly raised prices to what are ludicrous…read moreamounts at this point (130$ PP for 7 games) while also consistently making the service worse and worse.They stack your team with so many free agents that you barely get to play. The refs are beyond garbage, they are either completely useless or on a power trip. The also put so many teams ina league to try and squeeze as much money as they can, that when something inevitably goes wrong (like school practice going over time), they have to cancel games last second, schedule double headers, etc... Please dont give your money to this trash organization, find an alternative

The instructors for yoga were typical high Equinox quality. It's really cool to see the consistency across this brand. People knock Equinox and I hate the price. But they offer a consistent and premium product. And this location offers very early yoga classes. Love that.

Solid gym for those looking to get in a solid workout. Has…read moreall the amenities minus a sauna/steam room. Good area of free weights and cables, with dumbbells going up to 150 lbs. Chalk is both allowed and provided at this gym. One of my favorite features of this gym is that they have heavy chains for barbell work. You don't see this at every gym and I LOVE that they provide them. Gym includes a full basketball court, racquetball courts, stretching/yoga room. Also, there's a wall of game for all the strongmen and strongwomen which includes name, rank, and unit. Pretty cool. No bags allowed on the floor, however.
