Our broker was asking us to apply for a new policy, and to fill out a ton of paperwork, and drive it across town. It seemed like a lot of effort on my part, and I really didn't know if I was getting a fair price or good coverage. So I called Alicia to see what she could tell me, only as a comparison. Alicia asked if I had 15 minutes to answer a few questions, and she input all of my information on the spot. She had specific recommendations about my coverage, and she clearly knew what she was doing. She even asked me random questions about our home and property, because when we bundled several things together, we got a lower rate- insuring more for less money. At the end of it, with Farmers Insurance and the policy that Alicia had put together, we would be saving a good amount of money. The day after I called her, I was signing papers in her office for our coverage- and it was anything but difficult on my end. She offered me a cappuccino, and had a place for my kids to preoccupy themselves (art, stuffed animals, a doll house!) while I was there. I didn't wait at all, and Alicia and her team made it a seamless and fun experience. I could tell her employees enjoyed working for her, which confirmed what I had thought about her character. She took my mess of a situation and took care of everything we needed. She made my life so much easier, simply because she is thorough, and excellent at what she does. And she is super friendly and fun to be around, which is huge. She also told me that I could text her and reach her anytime, that was the benefit of having a personal agent. Well, we put that to the test last weekend when our car was broken into after a Giants game. I texted her at 10pm, and she got back to me right away, even helped walk me through setting up an appointment online with a repair service. She told me if I couldn't get an appt soon, to let her know because there was a local place she'd worked with that may be able to get me in. She checked in with me about it, and when I told her I couldnt get an appointment, she called the local glass repair shop, gave them all my information, and all I had to do was call them to confirm the date and time I preferred. I told my husband she is a boss- she multitasks, and gets the job done thoroughly and efficiently. And I tell Alicia that she is in the business of making my life easier! I would absolutely recommend Alicia to anyone who wants a smart, thorough, caring, genuine person as their insurance agent, to make that aspect of your life much easier and pleasant. The information about my house was incorrect, and even after emailing her about it nothing changed, so my insurance premium was based off of a 2-story house when mine is single-level, and they had my house as 300 sq ft bigger than it is. I think they do this on purpose, hoping their customers won't notice so they can charge higher premiums. Rates in California have gone up crazy high anyway due to proposed fire risks for different areas, where there was previously no risk three years ago. Sarah told me they don't have control over the fire risk determinations, that it's up to the CA Insurance Commissioner. Wrong! I called the CA Insurance Commissioner's office to confirm (and complain) and they confirmed they are just a regulatory agency there for the consumer and to regulate the industry. After this phone call, I will now be filing a formal complaint with the Insurance Commissioner against Sarkhosh Insurance Agency. Suggestion: Go with an agency who is an insurance broker and they can search for the best coverage and more affordable premiums. Sarkhosh tripled my premium from $740 in 2025-26 to $1900 for 2026-27, and when I asked for the corrections in my house size to be fixed finally to hopefully adjust the premium down, Sarah came back with a new figure almost $300 higher!! That doesn't even make sense, which is why I say this agency is crooked! With a new agency I found similar coverage for $1000 for the year.
