I have been receiving fantastic PT here since August 2024 for two rotator cuff tears that kept me from my workouts and many of my life activities. I worked with my favorite therapist Alex two days a week pretty consistently and I was able to rehab my shoulder to 90% mobilty, I think, and I am now able to resume my resistance training, TRX, yoga booty ballet and dance classes and all of my life activities. And I feel I am getting stronger and hope to be completely healed by the end of this year, feeling strong and amazing as I turn 75 in September. Alex has been amazing, so smart and intuitive in prescribing the effective therapy based on my progress and limitations initially and then adapting as I got stronger. I have had therapy many times in my life and Alex is a gem. He has the perfect personality for a therapist and a personal trainer, always so encouraging, very funny and amiable; we have become pals, I think. So last year Alex created a dynamic new program focusing on my tight hip flexors and lower back issues from years of playing softball, rugby, volleyball in high school and college. They have you fill out a form and upload your prescription (unless your doctor has already sent it over--then you just let them know). The entire process was very smooth. During the first session, your PT performs an evaluation, creates a plan of action, and continues to adjust it as your sessions go on. I was lucky enough to work with Jada. She is truly the kindest, most patient, and most knowledgeable PT. She takes her time to listen to your concerns, consistently updates your care plan to help you reach your goals, and always makes sure you feel comfortable. I've been going to Origin for three years now, and my experience has been nothing short of amazing. One thing I really appreciate about Origin is that they specialize in women's care. As a woman, that alone makes the environment feel incredibly comfortable and safe. They do tend to book up quickly--that's the only downside. However, you can always add yourself to the waitlist. My suggestion is to book your appointments in advance to secure the times that work best for you. Parking can be hit or miss since they don't have their own lot--it's all street parking. Most of the time, I'm able to find metered parking out front, but it's good to plan a few extra minutes just in case.

My mom, who is recovering from surgery and has difficulty walking, made a huge effort to get to her first PT appointment. After checking her in -- which they did by having her call out her name across the reception area instead of handling it privately and professionally -- we were told they could not see her because they "don't do post-op" cases. This information should have been communicated upfront, before we went through the difficulty of getting her there. Instead, our time and energy were completely wasted. The lack of communication, the unprofessional check-in process, and the overall disregard for my mom's condition made this a truly unacceptable experience. We left frustrated, exhausted, and still without the care she needs. I hope they improve their communication and basic professionalism so other patients don't go through what we did. The way physical therapy coordinator is only a chiropractor which is also very misleading. They were also 30 minutes behind on our appt, which was at 12:30 and they didn't see us until 1pm. The reception staff was discussing their bosses texts to them and complaining as well while we were waiting to be seen.

Since the surgery, I started back up getting my Physical Therapy and What A Great Place It Was! The place is well stocked with gear, has free parking ( a definite plus) and gets you in and out as fast as you want. I went for rotator cuff rehab and now for sciatica. I'm just falling apart and they are putting me back together. Shout outs to Evan, Rici and Doc Carolyn for beating me up to do the exercises properly. I'm healing. My only complaint is that they have a very short window of being open as they close at 2PM. I would go more often it they had longer hours. Ask for Evan. You'll get a great workout and hear his escapades of being single in LA which could be a TV series.
