I was referred to Guy Williamson by Dave at Carpet Repair. The carpet had pretty heavy traffic stains on it, and I was told to find someone with a truck mount rather than a portable machine that takes water from your kitchen sink. Seems the truck mount water can get way hotter and clean better. When I first called Guy (on a Saturday), he said he didn't have any openings until Wednesday during the day. I couldn't make that work, and besides, all my furniture was already moved out of the way. He said, "ok then, how about Sunday?" By some miracle he was able to come the next day. Guy is HILARIOUS. He went around my house saying, "got that spot! ooh, got that one! I got that one too!" giving me a play-by-play update on the cleaning. But best of all, he did a fantastic job on the carpet. They were late and exceeded the estimate. My carpets were not very dirty but I was still charged $300 for a 2 bedroom. It was $60 just for the stairs. They offered no discount for being hours late and wasting my time. The workers were nice and personable. However, it was just a basic carpet cleaning job that I feel was over priced. I hired Accel carpet cleaning to clean the carpets in our new house and got a very competitive rate from them. The owner came out the give the estimate and then had his son perform the cleaning. He did a fine job with the cleaning, but after he finished, he dropped the vacuum on a wooden desk in our kitchen and broke off a piece of trim, which also tore off a chunk of the underside of the desk. Why is this still a 5 star review? The damage was such that he could have easily hidden it from us and feigned ignorance. When we finally discovered it, we wouldn't have known if it was him or the moving company. But he immediately pointed it out to us, apologized and promised to make amends. That's exactly what they did - even though the repairs cost almost double the carpet cleaning. So they cleaned our carpets and paid us too. The owner offered to throw in $50 extra for the trouble, but I declined since I felt he had done everything he needed to. I suspect this kind of incident is very rare, but sometimes things happen. It's good to know that this business will make things right if something does happen. read more

Guy did a fantastic job removing the pet stains on our carpet. Our Great Dane got sick and had an accident a few weeks ago and despite using our Bissell Steam cleaner and Nature's Miracle on the stains, the odor and discoloration remained. I decided we needed a professional. I looked up "carpet cleaners" on Yelp and Accel Cleaning Services came highly recommended. Guy was able to come out the next day and even if he was a tad later than we scheduled, he called a half hour before our appointment to let me know he was running a little late then he called while he was on his way. He kept me informed the entire time and was very friendly. He even said he would come out again at no charge if the stains come back. These guys did an excellent job on my carpets and sofa upholstery! They took their time and really paid attention to detail! I was amazed at the results.....my carpets and sofa look brand new! The amount of time they spent treating stubborn pet stains, paint stains and the heavy traffic areas was impressive to say the least! I never thought they could look as good as they do. In the past I have used other bigger corporate services and was never really happy with the results. The other companies just came in and did a quick clean. Not these guys! Guy and his buddy were very considerate, timely and efficient. They called to give me a heads up that they were running a bit late from a previous job, which was very thoughtful of them. Then when they arrived, they were very efficient in setting up and providing an on-site quote now that they were seeing my actual space. What was also great was that this on-site quote was actually less than the initial cost Guy quoted me via Yelp. We had a few tough paint stains on the carpet that they were very willing to go back up and help us fix up without damaging the fibres of the carpet. I'm not sure where all the hugely positive reviews are coming from. I engaged Accel to clean three rooms and a hall for $280.00. They were here for almost 3 hours and when they left, I assumed all was well. I've had this carpet cleaned many times and know what to expect and what not to expect from cleaning. Not every trace of a stain can always be removed. I know that. However, . . . When they left, the dining room pieces they'd moved into the kitchen for access were still in the kitchen for me to deal with. They tied my drapes in knots to raise them and left them that way. When I noticed that and untied them, they were badly wrinkled and looked like hell. The carpet was wetter than others had left it and it took 3 days before I could vacuum and arrange the furniture again and at that, it was pushing it a bit. There was no stain spot pre-treating and every stain spot that was there before is still there. And in addition, there are three fairly large areas of discoloration that weren't there before. I had waited until just before out of town guests arrived to have the carpet cleaned so as to present the best possible image. Now there's no time to recover so I'll have to be hugely embarrassed at my ugly floor. I'll be contacting a different carpet cleaning company to fix the problems after my guests have gone. read more
